My husband and I stayed here for a few nights, before and after visiting Machu Picchu. The hotel is conveniently located by the main Plaza, just up a narrow street and hill. Our hotel arranged for our airport transfer, which was fantastic. Cost was 20 soles (although our rate included it), and the trip took 15 min. I'd describe the...

We enjoyed our stay at Tierra Viva-rooms were nice, staff was helpful and tea was always available. Nothing seemed like a problem for the staff, they were ways willing to help. Very close to plaza de Armas, which was wonderful!!! Would stay again if we travel to Cusco again. Only one little issue, the hotel is next to a very,...

We, a group of 9, recently stayed at this hotel twice for 2 nights each (total 4 nights) - once before visiting Machu Pichu and then after return. This is one of the most over rated hotels in Cusco. The hotel has one of the worst ventilation and it feels like living in a well or a hole with a...

For the money, you'd be hard-pressed to find a comparable hotel in Cusco. Tierra Viva Hotels do a lot to give their guests a five-star experience, with amazing service and great amenities and appointments. The Plaza is a cute little hacienda-style hotel with an enclosed courtyard acting as the lounge and dining room, and awesome little rooms. Ours was a...

The hotel arranges free pick up at the airport. Even though our flight was very early our room was ready at about 9am. The receptionist recommended a great place for vegetarians. Our room had a small balcony facing a narrow side street which was generally quiet. Other rooms seemed to have windows facing into the courtyard.

We had a very pleasant experience during our three night stay. The available coca tea was very helpful with the altitude sickness. Breakfast included a wide variety of foods and was quite delicious. Staff was helpful with information. Location was very close to the main square. The only downfall was that the room did not have much ventilation and if...

We stayed here for 3 nights prior to our Inca Trail hike. Someone picked us up at the airport upon arrival and took us to the hotel where we immediately had some coca tea. Stayed there for 3 nights. All reviews were spot on. Hotel is clean, cozy, cute, and kind of an old big house that was expanded with additions and a court yard in the center of the building. Comfy room, high ceiling, basic amenities. No clock, or facial tissues in the room, which is fine. The whole experience is what all...

We really loved this hotel. It's very unassuming and beautifully designed. Unfortunately, we had a room on the 1st floor and there was no circulation from the outside, so we had a miserable nights-warm sleep. But we would definitely come back and recommend to friends. It is so centrally located and the staff are great! Just be careful of the...
