I stayed here in June, and returned to stay again as my travels came to an end and I prepared to depart from Cusco. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet and had hot water on demand. More notably, Mercedes is a wonderful host. She always made time to sit down and answer my questions and give travel advice, and...

Casa de Mama 2 is a little out of the way, but it is only a 15min walk or so to the centre or a short taxi ride. The staff at Casa de Mama are really lovely and accommodating and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast is good - fried or scrambled eggs with the traditional Peruvian bread, jam and...

The hostel is in the centre of the city, only a few minutes walking from the main attractions and market. Due to the closed inner courtyard it’s quiet and silent. Every room is comfortable and well-equiped. The host is kind, helpful and familiar with all questions of tourism. I can recommend to everyone who would like to visit Cusco.

We only stayed here one night. The property is only a few blocks away from Plaza De Armas with plenty of restaurants close by. The rooms smelled a bit moldy and the entire guesthouse is in the shade so it remains cool all day. Overall there are so many places to stay in town that are reasonably priced I don't...

This hotel met all my expectations as a great value for low budget travelers. Upon entering the hallway into the hotel one is greeted by a plethora of plants and sunlight and this ambience continued all the way to my room on the 3rd floor. My room was quiet, and adequate, but didn't have hot water in the sink -...

My family and I stayed there for a night at the last minute while traveling from Cusco to Aguascalientes (Machu Picchu). The service was excellent, the rooms were very clean and the location was perfect. I highly recommend it if staying in Ollantaytambo.

My friend and I spent 4 nights at Mama Cusco 2 before and 2 after a 5 day trek to Machu Picchu, and our room was wonderful. It had a great view of the city, and it was comfortable and clean. Berta and Carmen answered all our questions, and Mercedes arranged a Sacred Valley Tour for us. The shower always...

Wonderful peaceful rooms just off the main road. Very good prices and large clean rooms that are well equipped. Wonderful friendly service and a nice breakfast. Is a 30 min slow walk to town or a 4 soles taxi ride. Definately recommend.

As it is written in the Title - place is very nice and clean, not far away from Plaza de Armas and relatively cheap. If you are looking for a hotel-style perfectly manicured room - this is not for you. We stayed there in two different rooms between our travel around Peru - I preferred one on the second floor....

Mercedes goes the extra mile to help you with tours, getting tickets and show you the best option available for you, the Heating did not work well but they changed as soon as I requested it. There is no point of sale for credit cards, so make sure you have cash to pay for your stay. Breakfast is so good....

“Aim for the front of the hotel if you want the wifi to work. We took the upgrade room at the back. This allowed for self-catering (fridge and stove). That was helpful but rooms at the front had better wifi connectivity. All the rooms were clean and comfortable.”

“ask for a room near the courtyard or behind the kitchen. Higher floors could be better too. The first room we stayed was on the second floor. some people arrived late or left early and we could hear them walking so loudly on the wood floor.”
