After scouring TripAdvisor for the ideal stay in Cusco, I settled upon Hostal Girasoles for its value, airport pick-up & rave reviews. I was not disappointed. The staff is EXTREMELY helpful, warm and for a non-Spanish speaker, it was a bonus we could easily converse in English. I had emailed the owner prior to our visit to organize our accommodation....

Hostal Girasoles was cozy and charming! They could not have been more welcoming. We were helped in from the taxi and given tea as soon as we arrived. The rooms were comfy with TV and hot water. They also helped us to arrange a taxi to take us through the Sacred Valley. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

We stayed in this hostal for 4 nights during our trip to Peru in August 2010. The hostal was clean and organized, nice room with big window. Good shower with strong hot water pressure. No hot water in the sink, which is pretty standard in Peru. Mercedes and her staff were very helpful to organize tours and arrange airport transfer....

I spent a month at Hostal Girasoles and had a fantastic time. There is free wireless internet and tvs in all of the rooms; a lounge area downstairs with another tv where you can sit and chat with others; and breakfast and laundry services. All of the staff are friendly and very helpful, and Mercedes is fantastic! She is like...

Mercedes and her team took care of just about every detail from the time we arrived in Cusco. Thanks to them, we saw the best sites, had an easy time getting around, enjoyed a comfortable stay, and even got the best table at one of the town's best restaurants! When we did have a problem with something, it was nice...

The taxi drivers (3 of them we asked) claimed they did not know how to find this hotel. After an hour of driving we gave up and went to internet cafe to look up this hotel website for the address. No address or phone number is on this hotel's website so we could not find the hotel and had to...

We stayed in this hostel for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good and varied day by day from eggs to local corn dishs. This place could pass off as a budget hotel as the rooms have en suite bathrooms and colour T V with English language film channels as...

Hostal Cirasoles Cusco is THE BEST and THE ONLY place to stay in Cusco. It is close to the major plaza and most tourist areas of Cusco but it is off a small very quiet alley. The rooms are rather small but very, very clean and the water is hot. But the best part of our 2 week stay was...

We found Hostal Girasoles on Trip Advisor and we were planning on staying one night and ended up using the Hostal as our home base for two weeks. It was located close to the Plaza but on a quiet street. Mercedes and all the other staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was an easy place to leave our stuff...

This is a great place to stay in Cusco. Down a quiet alley but within easy walking distance of the main square and San Blas. Inexpensive, comfortable and good hot showers. Mercedes, the owner, is fantastic and will help you out with any query and has a wealth of information. She even picked us up from the bus station, despite...
