Great hotel, historical restored and made into a great hotel. The rooms are spacy, modern bathroom. All services are offered, friendly employees. Minor negatives, a bit noisy and no fresh are possible in our room (no window). The wifi connection was very good, better then in most hotels I know.

This is a very nice hotel in Arequipa near the main area and the plaza. The service from the staff and particularly Joshua is just amazing. He is doing more than you can expect! The room and the place are just perfect! I highly recommend it! If I have to come back in Arequipa, without any hesitation, I would go...

We arrived at Casona Solar Hotel and were immediately upgraded to a superior room. The room was large with high vaulted ceilings and thick stone walls, so we had a peaceful sleep which was much appreciated after a long bus journey. We were only due to stay 3 nights but ended up staying 5 nights due to the terrible rains...

Small hotel in the downtown area of Arequipa providing excellent access to the city. The staff there were very accommodating about last minute date changes that we had to make due to a roadblock/general strike. The rooms are unique and the hotel grounds are lovely. We enjoyed our breakfasts there and found the service to be excellent and friendly.

One of the BEST hotel I have ever booked in my life! The building is completely made in Sillar, big white nricks made of the white local stone. The rooms are big, perfectly clean and full of beautiful paintings. Refrigerator, safety box, complimentary water (a 5 liters box!!!), many towels, hair dryer and big LCD TV (never turned on so...

Following the Lonely Planet the Casona... was "the" place to stay at Arequipa.

The hotel is in a heritage building that has been beautifully renovated - the curved brickwork inside the rooms was really cool. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, hot showers, and very clean. The wifi worked well. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfasts were great, the eating area was very pleasant and it was possible to interact...

An historic house converted into an hotel. Rooms are large, but no window. The patio and gardens are lovely, but some of the rooms are on the street, though quiet, which does not give the best experience. Breakfast is very nice. Staff is pleasant. Early departure for canyon colla trek, and a picnic was provided in place of breakfast. Central...

We had a five night stay at Hotel Casona Solar and received wonderful treatment by staff. Everyone has been polite and friendly and most certainly accommodating through our multi-timed breakfasts (everyone woke at their own pace), helped with the laundry service etc. A couple challenges are that the rear part of the facility (with the lovely garden) backs into a...

This hotel gets high marks in every way but one and that can't be helped as it's a heritage building - the rooms don't have a window to open to the outside for fresh air. Rooms face out to two courtyards, with the one in the back being quieter and prettier with an impressive cactus garden and umbrella shaded seating....
