Casa San Rafael was a wonderful place for my friend and I to stay during our visit to Cuenca. The hotel was very charming, having been updated fairly recently while maintaining the original character. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our room had two beds with plenty of room to move around and not get in each others way. Breakfast was...

The service was really above expectations. The staff couldn't do more for you. The pressure in the shower is fantastic. Rooms are comfortable and large. The breakfast offers more than the normal hotel and includes fruit salad with yogurt plus the expected juice, bread and eggs. Will stay there again if in Cuenca.

Located just three blocks from Cuecena's Central Square, the hotel has been carefully refurbished, with furnishings that reflect the colonial period. Bathrooms are modern. Staff are truly wonderful, and the breakfasts are excellent. Because this is a historic property noise from the central courtyard does carry into the rooms. Nonetheless would definitely stay here again.

Stayed four nights in this hotel in the historic area of Cuenca. We were able to walk to the riverfront area, the main square and many restaurants. Airport only 10 minutes from the hotel. Good breakfasts each morning and free coffee and tea all day. Staff were very helpful with calling taxis, recommending places to eat and reconfirming flights. Staff...

Charming former mansion just blocks from Catedral Nueva. Perfect staff, most speak English. Fresh made breakfast served and varied daily. Staff arranged taxi and referred safe ride to Guayaquil. Very convenient location, though inner city so bring earplugs.

We fell in love the moment we walked in the door. I had corresponded quite a bit with the staff before we arrived and found them to be every bit as courteous and helpful as I expected. The property itself is charming...details like the keys and other artifacts were delightful. The location couldn't be better for exploring the city...which we...
