I came back in Cuenca with French friends and stayed at the Casa del Aguila, once again we had a fabulous moment, rooms are so well taken care of, the patio is adorable and the breakfast is amazing.. thank you!

We stayed for four nights recently and appreciated the very helpful and friendly staff (every one of them!), the cleanliness, and the location. We also enjoyed the common rooms. The only problem was wifi - connecting was very difficult from our two rooms. It was easy to connect in the common space. We'd stay again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are cozy, the showers have plenty of hot water, and the bed was comfortable. The stay includes a breakfast buffet with fruit, crescents, coffee, and eggs that are delicious. It is served in outside which adds to the charm. The staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel is in an old...

The decoration is amazing, stunning, I have no words to describe it. Staff is helpful and supportive. Amenities and services are very good. The hotel is very well located, close by the historic center. I would certainly come back. Wi-fi is not the best, but it is not a problem. The room is quite small, despite the fact that for...

We greatly enjoyed our two night stay here. The inn is quaint and quiet. The staff are very helpful. Cynthia at the front desk speaks excellent English and is very willing to offer suggestions and help make reservations or any arrangements - both in advance of our trip via email and in person. The room and beds are very comfortable...

We stayed here for 4 nights. The building has a calm relaxing atmosphere and is very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is great- an easy 4 or 5 block walk to the main square. The beds were very comfortable. The only negative aspects are to do with noise within the hotel. The doors are very...

A very nice old restored 1802 colonial building, but the frills are few. Rooms have no TVs, and they somewhat resemble rooms in a convent or seminary; somewhat spartan, albeit very well maintained and clean. The breakfast, included, is a nice buffet selection and the dining area is very handsome. Staff were always helpful and responsive. Very reasonably-priced. Noise was...

I went to Cuenca to work, and I had to stay for several days, it really made me feel like home. This place is magic, it will show you how old houses used to be,beds are very comfortable, and is close to everything.

We only spent one night but the location is perfect for walking El Centro. It seemed very safe as you have to buzz to have the staff let you into the hotel no matter what time of day. On the other hand we have never felt unsafe in El Centro. It appears to be one or several restored mansion(s) /...

This hotel is fantastic. It has a rustic feel to it, yet also modern at the same time. We had a room with a window view of the capulas of the Catedral Neuvo. The staff was extremely helpful and polite, the breakfast was delicious. The room was wonderful, and I enjoyed the funky front door to the room with it's...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Is located in a pictorial colonial-style building, which takes us back to a time full of tradition and magnetism in Cuenca. Located in one of the most beautiful places of the Historical center, the most important attraction is the diversity of all elements spread in its common areas and the magnificent conservative details in its decoration, which provide a different personality to the hotel. ... more   less
