We spent two nights here. The room is very comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. The owner and staff are very helpful and make you feel at home. This place deserves all the great reviews it gets.

Casa Ordonez is unique. There are many beautiful hotel properties in Cuenca, but none could surpass the supremely efficient service we received at Casa Ordonez. Our trip was delayed 8 hours out of Ft. Lauderdale and we missed our connection in Quito and arrived over an hour and a half late into the Cuenca airport. Edwin, from the Casa Ordonez...

I travel to World Heritage Sites and I like to stay in the downtown areas where I can walk to historical buildings and sites. Casa Ordonez is a beautifully restored 1890's home with about ten rooms to rent. Alberto, an owner along with his wife Diana and sister Maria, is a super, friendly host who forced me to use my...

Located in the old part of Cuenca is a wonderful boutique hotel: Casa Ordonez. This hotel was a former family home of the current owner. It provides a delightful glimpse into residential living decades ago. Some of the furnishings date back to this earlier period. The home has been lovingly restored and up-fitted with modern plumbing and electrical service. Our...

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we felt like we were at home. The breakfast was delicious and the owners are very welcoming and accommodating. This is the best place you can stay in if you're visiting Cuenca. If you need travel help or any kind of assistance getting around, the owners or employees will gladly...

Casa Ordonez is a unique gem of a Hotel in the heart of El Centro. Family owned and operated. The building has been in the family for over a hundred years. Authentic Cuenca architecture antiques and culture abound. Each room is different and named for a family member. Clean, and attractive, comfotable linens and great service is why we enjoyed...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in February for a friend's wedding. We absolutely loved everything about Casa Ordonez. The building is historic and beautiful, with stained glass and tasteful decorations inside, and the rooms are equally beautifully decorated. The staff was always super friendly and helpful, and everyone spoke English (or at least enough for us...

I stayed at Casa Ordonez in March 2013 for 4 days. I checked in and the rome the gave me had no hot water. Then they decided the boiler serving the room I had was not working. They moved me to a very large room right above the office. It was facing the street but there was no traffic noise....

My husband and I were in Cuenca for our first year wedding anniversary. I had mentioned this in an email when asking for a restaurant recommendation for the night we were there. As well as getting a few recommendations, we were surprised with gifts of roses and a bottle of wine, which the owner organised for us to to be...

Central to everything from banks and groceries to the city center, Casa Ordonez is a great place to stay as an introduction to Cuenca and Ecuadorian life. The casa itself takes you back in time to the way many families built their homes. The breakfasts are close to the best in the city including the most attentive staff anywhere. All...
