I had a minute, very efficient solo room. it was quiet and lovely. make a quick stop to the top floor to see the view from the small sun room. if you speak ZERO spanish you may occasionally have problems. i speak...

Our party of 4 enjoyed our stay at the Hotel El Relicario del Carmen in early August. We stayed 3 nights upon or arrival in Quito and returned for 2 more nights prior to our departure. Very conveniently situated within 2 blocks of the Grand Plaza, the hotel is quaint, beautifully decorated, clean and very quiet, despite being in a...

We arrived at 1am on a Friday to a kind greeting from the front desk, Hugo, and the jack of all trades-cleaned our room, served us breakfast (eggs to order, pastries and yogurt included in the room) and often greeted us at the door- Alphonso. The hotel is pretty inside and super quiet- there were other people staying there but...

This is a beautiful old hotel in Quito's colonial quarter. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The lobby is charming and decorated with many paintings and murals. The family gave us a wonderful dinner and rose at 4:30 am to give us breakfast before we caught an early flight.

Very traditional in style, spotlessly clean with good service and a good breakfast. The hotel is small, not much storage space in the rooms, all a little cramped. No tea/coffee facilities in the rooms.

This hotel is in a restored mansion in Old Town, Quito. While the hotel is quite pretty and the breakfast was delicious, I don't think that I would stay here again. First, our room could have use some improvements. The bathroom in our room was odd. It was very small and not in the theme of the room nor was...

Sorry for your negative experience in the old town of Quito. You stayed in a colonial house built in 1705. We are glad you liked in general the hotel and the breakfast. All our mattresses are new and of a semiorthopedic type. Thanks for staying in our hotel and if you come back to Quito please give us a chance...

This is a lovely place to stay. The place is full of antiques and art works, the rooms are lovely, the staff are charming. Great breakfasts. You're five minutes walk from the Grand Plaza. It's certainly expensive, but it's a wonderful, quiet, civilized place to stay.

We had a wonderful experience with this hotel from start to finish. We arrived at midnight and made previous notification to the hotel to ensure they could accommodate us at this late hour. A friendly staff member was there to greet us, welcome us, and get us settled into our room. The friendly and helpful service continued throughout our stay...

Beautiful boutique hotel in historic "El Centro". Rooms were on the smaller side, but very clean and comfortable. They are tastefully decorated in an historic style. The included breakfast was excellent! The staff, especially Tarquino, is always pleasant and very helpful.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A truly historic house, dating back to 1705 has just opened it??s door as a hotel with 18 comfortable rooms. It is beautifully renovated with great emphasis on the original details and has all the comfort expected today, including a central air conditioning system. All the furniture is handmade by recognized Ecuadorian artisans and many original paintings decorate public and private areas. You will live in a real historic surrounding. The hotel is definitely declared non-smoking. It is located a block away from the main square "Plaza de la Independencia", the Government Palace and very close to many historic monuments of Quito.
