Payed $10 for a large room with a private bathroom. Right in Centro Historico and La Ronda. The family that owns the place is extremely friendly and helpful, talked to them for at least an hour. Was not very loud and busy.

For 10 dollars a night you get a spacious room for yourself. I had one with two beds and the other week even one with three beds all at the same price. The hostel is clean, the breakfast for 2$ extra ok, staff is friendly and I did like the beds and the blankets very much. To the grand plaza...

Do not book with this unreliable hostel! Even if you have a confirmed reservation with reservation number they will say that you have no reservation and send you away in the dark to find another hostel!! Even if it is late and not safe on the street. Never go here and don't use their reservation service on their website! Go...

Really great place for only $12 a night. I was surprised, upon arriving, that the specific room that I had reserved wasn't available (after getting suggestions from this website), but other than that, this is a good place. I only had the breakfast once, and it was good, with made to order eggs. Although you can get the same or...

I had 2 double beds for me alone! The Shared bathroom is very big and clean! And with Hot water! Only "negative" is that the wifi is...

For 11 dollars per night, I stayed in a room with 2 beds and a private bathroom (with hot water!!) for myself. It's a bit dark but it's spacious, clean and the staff is really nice and helpful. And it's right next to the Santa Domingo's church in the historic part. It's not luxurious but for that price, it's more...

I stayed here for 4 nights. The hostel itself is beautiful. The interior is nicely done, has large windows, has a charming quality about it. The first night I went there, they put me in the wrong room. The put me in a private room with a private bath. However the second night they moved me to what I had...

I arrived in Quito at night, with no reservation and a tight budget. When I showed up at la Posada Colonial, the owner, Jaime, told me there was no room left. But when he saw how uncomfortable I was at the idea of having to go out again to look for something else, he found me a little room with...

This was a great hostal, the owners were great and the price is very reasonable. The rooms are big, the breakfast is also very cheap and simple at $2. The location is perfect for the Historic part of Quito and really close to the main square. In addition we had some issue with the language barrier and a shop owner...

Note that Trip Advisor has a double entry for La Posada Colonial or Hostal La Posada Colonial: they are the same place and the reviews for La Posada Colonial are more favourable for some reason! I originally entered mine for the former and I add it here for fairness- I thought it really good value. So...I stayed her in mid...
