This hotel has a good location and I thought is was good value for money. I can't comment on the breakfast as I always left to early, but I found the staff at the front desk extremely helpful. The room was large enough for the 3 of us, and having the room split over 2 levels allowed for more space...

We stayed here for a few nights either end of a Galapagos trip, and found it to be well located (although it's impossible to get a cab to the front door on public holidays or on Sundays when they close many of the old city's streets off to vehicles - everyone goes bike riding!) and right next to a small...

We stayed there 3 nights in March 1012. Our room was way smaller and plainer than any of the pictures, though the interior courtyard is pretty and the pictures real. The breakfast is plain: eggs, small tasteless rolls, one glass of watery juice, and coffee, period. No choice.Hot water available sometimes, not at others. Location in Old Town is convenient...

Nice old colonial building in the heart of the old town. Under $50/night for 2 including breakfast. Rooms were clean, hot water after a few minutes wait. Laundry done within a day for a reasonable price. (we ended up paying more because it got ironed, something our limited Spanish didn't catch) Definitely no night life or even many restaurants open...

I stayed 4 nights in this hotel in 2 different rooms. The room designs are very interesting and I think this hotel is worth a few nights simply for the interesting historical feel that is lacking in the new town. However, because it is in the old town, stores nearby tend to close much earlier and the streets become more...

I loved the ambiance of Old Town and the hotel's perfect location near dozens of historically significant sights. It was easy to book it myself by email. Traveling alone, I splurged ($39 with tax) on a suite (incl. refrig and microwave) which came in handy for cold drinks and heating up water for bedtime tea and my Trader Joe's instant...

We stayed here in early Feb., had the "Chulla Quiteno" suite with jacuzzi. A great value at $61.00 per night. The hot water was OK for a shower, not really good enough for the hot tub, although we took a soak each of the three nights we were there. Breakfast was OK, eggs, juice, rolls, tea or coffee in a...

The Hotel San Francisco de Quito appears to attract budget-minded travelers of all ages. For $70 a night, we stayed in the honeymoon suite for five days at the very top of a five-story walk-up. The hotel overall is convivial and within easy walking distance of the main historic attractions. (It's important to know the old town rolls up the...

We are a family of 5, this was a very comfortable, hotel. We had rooms at the back of the hotel so very quiet & cosy. The hotel staff were helpful & friendly. Only a short walk to most of the attractions in the old town.

Charming, Spanish style hotel offering a great value for a central location, just a few blocks from Iglesia de San Francisco, La Plaza de Independencia and the cafes, restaurants & bars of La Ronda. I stayed in a room on the second floor that offered two double beds, a tv and a small bathroom with shower & hot water. Although...
