I travel a lot for business, mainly at the big chains, so when I saw the very positive reviews for this enchanting place I booked it immediately for 9 nights. Every positive review is true, a very nice boutique hotel. Friendliest staff I have ever...More
This is an excellent hotel just a few minutes walk from the central part of the Mariscal. Everything was perfect - friendly greeting on arrival, fast internet (wireless router in each room), comfortable beds, hot showers and the best free breakfast I had in Ecuador...More
This hotel has it all. Clean rooms with character, friendly staff and in a good location for the new town. They have a restaurant too and the food is basic but good. If you want to be in Old town then it is a little...More

Hi Steve, sorry if this is too late but I don't check tripadvisor regularly. It takes about 45 minutes from the airport to the hotel, maybe a little more in rush hour. We had transfers so I'm afraid I don't know the price. The safest way is as with the rest of the city to take an official cab with all the badges. That said, we used an unbadged taxi for another trip once and it was fine and in general we found the city safe - did quite a bit of walking at night to and from restaurants and bars. There were a few streets that looked dodgy but use commonsense and you should be fine.
