Stayed here as part of our Intrepid tour before & after Galápagos, we ended up staying a few extra nights. 2km walk to old town of Quito, 1km to La Mariscal with lots of restaurants. Less than 1 km to super market. Parks just down the road. Very clean and tidy with nice courtyard to relax in. Wifi good. Staff...

Staff were angry and possibly overworked and unavailable. We were not informed of wifi. Night staff disappeared without trace. Someone was sleeping on a sofa in the lounge with a blanket over their head! Was that the 24 hour service? There was no drinking water provided and only one clean glass and after drinking the water from the tap we...

Very nice room, staff helpful. There was a convention at the time we were unware of but the staff was very informative to assist in our planning accordingly. Breakfast great. Very nice garden area and sitting area.

My friend and I stayed at this lovely hotel during my first visit to Quito. It is nicely situated on a quiet street near some busy intersections so you can get around fairly easy. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the former British Embassy now known as La Cartuja (which is located in an ultra convenient part of the downtown area on a quiet street a few blocks from Plaza Fuch and a SuperMaxi grocery store) during a climbing/trekking vacation this past week. Virtually all of the staff have an excellent command of English and we're unfailing...

This is a very simple hotel, but the staff are friendly, it is clean and it is well placed. We walked to the old town in about 20 minutes and Plaza Foch in about 10 minutes. It is close to a good market and there are many good restaurants both up market and lower range nearby. staff speak good English....

We spent our first night in Quito in La Cartuja and loved it. We spent another night there after a short trip to the Galápagos Islands. The charming traditional building, small attractive garden and location near the main shopping and restaurant areas make the hotel the ideal starting point to explore the city. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful,...
