we stayed ib hostal Taxo 3 times during our 5 weeks in Ecuador. Each time we liked it even more. This is no fancy hotel but by far the friendliest hostel we have been to. there are different rooms some more comfortable.all very clean! and with WiFi and hot water. there is a kitchen that guests can use and also...

We stranded there by coincidence! After our bus got canceled in the middle of the night! They were very kind, helpful and tried to call other bus agencies to find an other option to get to our destination! We are very grateful for that! The hostal itself is clean, the rooms are small but you find there everything you need...

This place is amazing!! Just amazing!! We stayed here twice - rooms were large, very clean, had private bathrooms, very hot showers, wifi, and good locks on doors. Downstairs area has a kitchen, dining, and lounge area. Located a few blocks from Foch Square, it's quiet, with plenty of places to eat/drink nearby (easy walking distance). The host, Segundo, is...

Pros: friendly and helpful staff (Segundo will help you!), good location (3 blocks from Plaza Foch), good shower, quiet environment, good wifi. Cons: not perfect beds and pillows, but still ok; only one computer for the entire hostel; the third block from the Plaza is kinda unfriendly, with some homeless people living there and making it feel unsafe sometimes. One...

Block of Juan Rodriguez I also recommend highly for hostels (Pousada Maple and Casa Kanela). West of here on the opposite side of Foch Square, Hostel El Taxo was a good place except the bed was so hard (good thing I travel with a a thermorest) and you were not supposed to use the computer after 10pm...and I walked into...

We've been there with my wife few days last week and the two brothers owning this house were very welcoming and helped us with everything. I strongly recommend this place, rooms are cleaned, and the hostel is well located in Quito, with a good price compared to others around. We will not regret your stay for sure!

I've been here 3 years ago and it was great. Even greater to come back to my favorite hostal in Ecuador. The staff is very helpfull and literally help you with anything. It's like being home. I feel safe here and very welcomed. Which is priceless! I leave my personal belongings in the room, never ever lost anything. The family...

My boyfriend and I stayed there during our visit in quito. We slept in many hostels during our trip, but non of them was as good as el taxo. The hostel locate in a calm and quiet street, only two streets away from the crowded main plaza. The rooms are big and clean, at the same price of any other...
