Very friendly staff that answered all our questions. Going downtown needs a taxi but they're happy to call you one. Not a lot of good restaurants nearby, that's a couple of blocs away but well explained. But if you're into a beer, they have the excellent artisanal brewerey Abysmo nearby and there is some decent food too; their beers are... More

Service: really good. Staff were helpful. Daniella contacted beforehand to prearrange taxi for $35. It is cheaper to book taxi at airport for $25 though. Location: outskirts of new town mariscal area. This area is very quiet on weekends and night and i dont feel safe. It is close to a large supermarket about 5-7 minutes walk and to plaza... More

Stayed here on our last night in Quito, rooms are comfortable, basic and adequate, staff were helpful and pleasant, would come back again, located well in La Mariscal, though not close to the old town. Rooms have bathroom and TV, though not coffee making facilities.

Comfortable room. Helpful, friendly staff. Pleasant breakfast. Two great eateries within 20 metres either side of the hotel. We had a good internet connection. Within walking distance of the old town.

Room with a terrace featuring a great view of Quito. One of the two beds was not clean with dead insects and some hair still between the sheets. The front desk operator was so kind to come and change the sheets. The bathroom and shower was less than basic. Opening and closing the door was a problem because of little... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sierra Madre. Our room was wonderful with a great balcony and amazing view of the mountains. Every member of their staff was friendly and helpful but the standout was Daniella. She is so knowledgeable, conscientious, and pro-active. Daniella quickly answered my emails before we left for our trip - with all the answers... More

At first our room looked inviting with a terrace. The en-suite was so small it was difficult to maneuver in past the toilet to the shower and the sink had a large crack in it. In fairness they offered us another room but it was smaller and less natural light so we stayed put for 2 nights. The room was... More
