Recently stayed at Cafe Cultura on both ends of a trip into the rainforest. Wonderful service, excellent restaurant. Both rooms were spacious and well appointed. Loved the bathroom in room one...claw footed tub and windows all around, lovely for a bath by candlelight !

Dear Louise, A million thanks for your lovely comments, it is great to see that you are the perfect match traveler for our small humble establishment. We try hard to provide truly personalized service and experience while guests stay with us. At the moment we are currently restoring, improving, and redesigning one of Quito´s most important manor houses where we...

It has been eighteen months since my last visit. This was mostly due to work and family committements. After a long flight from England via Houston i arrived. A few of the staff has changed since my last visit but the standards are just as high. I really feel at home here, quite literally at home, comfortable and familiar.

Dear Jake, We can´t thank you enough for your kindness and lovely comments. It is always a pleasure to receive you at our small and humble establishment. At the moment we are in the process of rebuilding, redesigning, and restoring one of Quito´s most important manor houses. We are hopefully and with a little luck moving there in about a...

We were impressed by a recent stay at the Cafe Cultura. Not only was the room colorful and comfortable, but the library was interesting, staff was helpful, and the dinner we were served at the hotel's restaurant was exceptional - especially the banana flambe'. There was road work taking place outside the hotel but we hardly noticed. I would recommend...

I like staying at unique and interesting venues--and from the fab photos I had high hopes for my family's experience at Cafe Cultura. It wasn't bad--the paintings were pretty and interesting. The staff was friendly and the common areas felt like a quirky, fun little hotel should, BUT... Somehow the rooms left something to be desired. It's hard to describe--but...

Traveling with a small group recently, we had fours stays at the Cafe Cultura as we passed through Quito in between visiting different areas in Ecuador. We thought it great fun to check out each others' rooms - we love all of them! The restaurant was very nice, and the staff were wonderful. We looked forward to returning each time,...

I stayed at the hotel prior to and after my Galapagos dive trip. I loved the hotel. It is beautifully decorated with murals on many walls and has comfortable beds. The staff is lovely and very helpful. I loved reading by the fire places at night. The food was also quite good. It is located between old town and the...

My husband and I stayed here in April as bookends of our trip to the Galapagos islands. It is very charming, an old converted mansion. Both times we stayed in room #1 which was quite large, had a huge bathroom with a big soaker tub. Our room also had a fireplace, but we didn't bother trying to use it. The...

My daughter and I stayed here at the beginning of our trip to Ecuador, and we came back two more times as our "home base". Our first room was built around a large tree! Our second room was upstairs--and faced the street with a bus stop--it was pretty loud all night long. I would suggest the rooms off the front...

Friendly and helpful staff picked us up at the airport and took care of all our needs. Fun place to stay near Old Town - we walked there and loved seeing the churches, etc. Each room is different and nicely appointed. We loved the murals on the walls and the furnishings.

I spent five nights at Cafe Cultura on my recent trip to Ecuador. I used it as a base, coming and going to other parts of Ecuador and ended up staying in 3 different rooms all of which were clean and charming and comfortable. Cafe Cultura is in a historic old building and the sitting areas and restaurant are lovely...
