The people were ok, could have been nicer. Nice place and te room was not bad. Good location near foch plaza and el maple cafe. The shower head was electric, which was weird and say but great. One of the first places in south america tat had hot water all the time. Bathroom was nice. Don't get te breaks though.... More

We, two friends, booked for a night and asked for two beds. The guy showed us our room only to be woken up hours later when we were already sleeping telling us we were in the wrong room and had to move to another room with more beds. Now we didn't mind moving to another room but we do mind... More

Positives: Was pretty central to the mariscal district, close to Plaza Foch. Average breakfast - scrambled egg, piece of toast, little bit of jam. Only coffee, no hot water. Friendly reception staff. Secure building - had to be let out of the locked gate at the front. Negatives: Worst shower ever - absolutely tiny and a cold dribble. The "bathroom"... More

I had a private bedroom for one night and found the place to be very pleasant. The staff was very helpful in helping me find the things I needed around town, and also helped me arrange taxis. When my accommodations by the airport were cancelled on me for my last night in Ecuador, Hostal del Piamonte made no complaints about... More

this hostal is situated very close to plaza foch however the late night noise of the area does not quite reach this little gem. It is family run andkept very clean. The included breakfast of egg and toast is small if you have an active day planned. All in all we had a good stay.

We arrived around 9:30 pm on a Saturday night after an extremely stressful day of travel. We popped into 3 hostels, which were all completely booked before we stopped into this one. The hostel was clean, the beds were clean, and the staff was friendly/helpful. Breakfast is free and made-to-order each morning. And laundry was super fast. The hostel is... More

I arrived at the hostel a little past six at night after three long days of travel. I unfortunatly speak very little spanish. The man at the front desk was helpful and very patient with me. He found me a room even though the website said that there wasn't one available. The bed and pillow were some of the best... More

OK, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was good. The shower is ridiculous. There is some electric apparatus attached to the shower head, and you have to open it very slowly to get hot water, and not much hot water I might add. While the staff was very cordial, it felt very cold and impersonal at Hostal del Piamonte. Not... More

We booked a different hostel but when we arrived were told it was full and was walked round to hostal del piamonte, the staff here were very helpful even with our terrible Spanish they were a great help. Location is good, close to bars and restaurants, it can be a bit noisy in evening but can't expect to be silent... More

Bathroom not so good, hot water only leaking, if you want more preasure, you only get ice cold water. Take your ear plugs if you want to stay on Friday or Saturday, or go our and party, otherwise you will... More

See which rooms travellers prefer

“Rooms either have their bathrooms inside of their room, or they have semi-private bathrooms outside of the room (ie. Room 5 would have bathroom and shower number 5 that's not shared with other guests, although it is outside of the bedroom). Depending on your travel (independent or with a group), you might want to have a bathroom out/in of your room if people sleep early or if you want easier access.”
