To run a hostel not only means watching TV and collecting money, it means also maintenance and CLEANing! The owner is a nice chap and helpful when it comes to draw a walking tour on a map, location is good also, but toilet and room is soo dirty, I haven't seen such a mess on my travels to Bolivia, Peru......

Everything was great! The hiatal is right on the border between cerro Alegre and cerro concepcion, steps away from grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes. The house is really cute and welcoming, and the owners couldn't be friendlier or more helpful! The space is limited due to it's small size, but it adds to the homey environment, and there are still...

It is a very friendly and welcoming place to stay in valparaiso. You live with the owners, but they don't make you feel uncomfortable like there are always someone supervising you, you have the complete freedom there. They gave you lots of tips for the city and where not to go. The rooms are very clean, the owners clean the...

Locatoin is good. Cable TV in the double room. But the double room was TINY! There was not enough room to open our 2 backpacks. Because it was so small. Then just with the bags closed there is not enough room for 2 people to stand in the room. The bedspread was dirty and old. Hot water on day 1...

We were welcomed by Gerrardo and Christian very friendly. They showed us on a map where (not) to go and what to see. The hostal itself was extremely clean and the kitchen is well equiped. The central location on the beautiful Cerro Alegre was great. We could visit the city by foot. The area has a lot of nice Cafés...

Not only was this super clean and conveniently located, but the owners went out of their way multiple times to be not just hosts, but friends. They even gave me a bunch of fresh herbs from their ample garden to use the night I decided to cook in their well stocked kitchen. The rooms are so clean, bathrooms as well,...

The upstairs rooms of this house have been turned in to some dorms and a double room. Our double had a bathroom and hot shower (note, the shower was HOT or COLD - take your pick). It's such a fantastic location (we found our hostel at the centre of the hype when we did our walking tour). Really friendly and...

This was the first place I stayed in Chile. The guys who run the hostal are very nice and helpful. The location was excellent and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It is Cerro Allegre, and it only takes less than a 10 min walk to get down to the main square. I found one of the best restaurants in...

Good points - my shared bedroom was really comfortable and clean, with a locker provided. The breakfast provided - which was only available on the first day of my stay - was small but nice. There is free wifi. Bad points - they ask you to limit your shower to ten minutes - bizarre when the surrounding hostels offer unlimited...
