Terrible Experience. Stayed one night, next day bite marks were showing up. We inspected the bed closely and found some bugs crawling all over it. We were able to get some photo prove. The only good thing was we had no problem getting our money back. The people working there seemed aware of that problem :( Stay away!

Quite and unfortunate stay with Hostal Casa Valpo. The hostel is a great value in the beautiful historic part of the city. The owner was exceptionally helpful at getting us situated and recommended a couple off the beaten path restaurants and bars which we loved. They have free (albeit small) breakfast and ran an evening of free pisco sours. Our... More

I came to Casa Valparaiso as I found it highly recommended in the guide Get South. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is tasty and complete, Internet is pretty great and the location is perfect. The big dorm upstairs is sunny and quite big, although it gets cramped with all the backpacks. There is not enough bathrooms for everyone... More

It is a very comfortable place, clean and reasonable prices. Wifi and nice breakfast. The hostal is settle in a narrow street where you can also find an ice cream shop with the most delicious ones. Magical paintings on the lanes turning down the hill close to the hostel. I do recommend it if you come to Valparaíso.

Perfect location/ nice and helpful staff/ delicious and homemade breakfast/ clean sheets/ clean bathroom/ you're surrounded by street arts/ living room to hang out/ only "negative" aspect: the hostel with its rooms is quite small and there's no balcony or backyard. We liked it here a lot!

First of all, bedbugs. One girl in our room woke up with at least a dozen of the telltale straight line bites. We all crossed our fingers that she had gotten them elsewhere (because it was New Year's weekend and basically impossible to move to another hostel)... until I woke up with a bedbug crawling across my blanket. Gross. Because... More

Really social-able hostel with a large common area for travellers to hang out and relax after a long bus ride. We arrived early (7am) and was shown the communal area to sit and wait for check-in at 1pm. Breakfast was good with a large bread roll, scrambled eggs, butter/jam and tea and coffee. They also offered juice/smoothie but it was... More

Perfectly located in the Cerro Concepción right next to little cafes, stores and the famous graffiti-colored streets, this hostel offers good accommodation. Beds are comfortable, dorm spacious, all rooms are clean and wifi super fast and stable. Showers have hot water and good water-pressure. There's lockers for everyone. Breakfast is ok but small. Atmosphere is good due to the small... More

I've never been to a hostel where the person at the front (Carolina) was so accommodating. She took a good 10 minutes circling things on my map to see. The area itself is charming and they've got a nice breakfast in the morning (eggs, bread, fresh juice)

Thank Vy T
