I have read guides saying that this hotel is not in a good area -- whatever that means. It is within easing walking distance of the Patronato garment district, the Patio Bellavista, and Pablo Neruda's house at La Chascona. Downtown Santiago is a 15-20 minute walk across the river. Breakfast and overall service were top-notch.

I booked into the Loreto based on other Tripadvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed at all! We loved the location in Bellavista, where there's a buzz day and night, as you explore the shops, bars, restaurants and gardens nearby. We've rarely had such attentive service from hotel staff. Everyone, from reception to bellhops to the manager himself, were always...

This hotel is in a convenient location for walking and taking the subway. It is close to restaurants but in a quiet area. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good (although the coffee is very weak). There's a nice rooftop terrace and common areas on each floor; many rooms seem to have balconies looking over...

The customer service of everyone from the bellboys and the entire front office staff and everyone else for that matter was simply outstanding. Always smiling, always courteous and always helpful. The location was awesome with so many restaurants and local attractions at walking distances.

Staying at the Hotel Loreto was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our recent trip to Santiago. We used their excellent website to get all the information we needed before booking, and secured our room with just a couple of clicks (best of all, they don’t pre-charge you for your room). I had a couple of questions before we traveled,...

We only spent one night here but had an excellent experience. We actually chose the hotel because we had a car and the hotel offers parking nearby. They seem to cater to large tour groups, but it still suited us well as individual travelers. Staff was extremely helpful. Rooms were very large and clean. Free wifi in room. Convenient location,...

This is a very nice place, and we were very sad to have missed our first night here, due to missed airline connections. It is clean, modern and located in a central location for sightseeing in Santiago. We were met by the friendly staff and they made sure our room was ready for us, even though we checked in quite...

The hotel is clean, simple, modern-ish and well-kept. We had a room on the third floor with a great little side balcony. The rooms are very nice for the price, but the best part of the hotel is the common spaces. There's a nice communal space inside on an upstairs level with lots of seating and an amazing roof terrace...

The hotel is centrally located to markets, museums, railway, botanic gardens, restaurants and shopping. Hotel staff speak English well and could not do enough for us. The hotel is sleek, modern and clean. Breakfast, although limited, was plentiful and the chef was wonderful (could sing in English). The top floor terrace is a bonus as it is equipped with comfy...

Our room was clean and fresh and the staff who spoke excellent English were immediately there if you had any problems with the TV etc. Also great advice with local attractions and tours. We had issues with a transfer that didn't arrive at the airport (organised by our tour company) and then issues with a cab driver re the fare...
