Lodge El Taique is off the beaten track but well worth visiting because of the relaxing experience and breathtaking views. This is not a conventional hotel, but usually you do not get view of two volcanoes and a lake in hotels. This a perfect locations to do some nature exploration, or just to enjoy tranquility and serenity of the environment....

We enjoyed the days we spent in the cabins of El Taique tremendously. Both cabins provide great views of snow capped volcanoes and forests and are both well equipped. The cabins provide a nice level of privacy but are located close enough to the lodge to enjoy the excellent hospitality of the owners Michael and Audrey. Truly the best hosts...

I can see this would not suit everyone but we loved it because of its remote homeliness. We were the only people staying here overnight during the week before Christmas so had long conversations with Mikel the French chef/patron who speaks very good English. The lodge is all made of wood and is very comfortable; the food was excellent, as...

Based on the rave reviews of El Taique, we decided to give it a try. They call it a lodge/hotel but it really is a B & B that offers dinner. The room that we stayed on the first floor was small and the walls were paper thin. We felt like we had zero privacy as we could hear everything...

Dear host, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a comment. We are very sad to read that our hotel was not up to your expectations, especially as we felt your disillusion, and we try to make you feel comfortable, apparently without success. It is true that our lodge is not like a conventional hotel, (but...

Stunning views - there can't be many places in the world where you have what feels like your own private view of two snowcapped volcanoes whilst having dinner, with the scene completed by the family dog lounging on the grass seemingly enjoying the view. The lodge had a nice warm and cosy feel to it even though we were the...

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay before crossing the border into Argentina and we found this gem. Mickael the owner was very accommodating and full of information. Lovely views of the volcanos and lake. A very serene and comfortable place to stay. We highly recommend!

The place is remote, quiet and relaxed. After a long drive we were welcomed by the family (including the st Bernard) and felt at home immediately. During our dinner (Good French quisine) we were besides the humor of the owner treated on different amazing views. Sunset and almost red sunlight on the volcano (we could only see one, but on...

After days of bad weather and finding a good place to stay and eat and where it is quiet, we decided to check out Lodge El Taique. A bit from the road, 8km, but worth the drive. When it's foggy you don't immediately see how great the surroundings are. Don't let it stop you. The lodge is perfectly situated, with...

The place is run by a very nice French couple who settled in this area. They provide very friendly and good service. Their cooking is excellent and reasonably priced. The view is superb. Inconvenients - even for a lodge, the room and bathroom are smallish and do not afford many facilities to unpack and for placing your toiletries. Above the...

We got pretty unlucky with the weather, and thus felt a bit short-changed as we didn't get the views. The road to get there (it's quite a long way from Puyehue lake) involves several km of pretty rough hilly gravel roads, which perhaps wouldn't be so bad if we had a 4x4. We could just about make out Lake Rupanco....
