We booked standard room here. But they gave us a outhouse kind of room. We were welcomed to the room by the smell of chlorine. This is not a resort and the price is too high for that room. Worst part is you won't get any food from hotel. This was my first and last visit to this hotel

How bad is this place? Well, I can't really say because... the very zealous staff at the door told us that we absolutely had to pay a $2 entrance fee each just so we can talk a look at the resort before making up our minds whether to book a stay. Not the way to do business.

I think this establishment is basically a scam. It is NOT a "resort" and not even really a hotel. There was vomit on the floor in the bathroom, the room was infested with bugs and we could not stay there. I have traveled all over the world and never experienced such unbelievably poor conditions or such shady service. I should have known there would be a problem when they wouldn't show me the room until I paid with my credit card. I requested a refund which was not granted but I still did not stay for the night because I did not think it was healthy to do so. The other negative reviews for this hotel on this site are entirely accurate. Do not stay here-- there are other options for enjoying Pulau Ubin. If you don't want to camp, it is easy to go to Pulau Ubin for the day. You can take a boat off of the island in the evening for just $2.50 and stay in a comfortable and/or clean hotel near Changi for a much cheaper price. It would only take 20 minutes and be totally worth avoiding this place.

This Resort is so Horrible, worst than Hotel 81 or Fragrance Hotel in geylang area. The std room which I stayed is just one of the rooms of a chalet unit. The so called villas( only 2 villas), only 1 is avaliable, as the other villas is the living quarters for the Philippines workers. I was there earlier at noon time, check in supposed to be 2pm, was told they are cleaning the room, when I finally checked in, only another couple was in another std room. So ghost town. The previous Celestial Resort in the other part of the island had better facilities, room toilets had basic toilet accessories while this current resort has nothing at all, totally bare. Just really not worth the amount I had paid for the room! This Resort is definitely not a resort to relax!! It's more of milking visitors of their money. Had digged up the history of this current resort place, it used to be Ubin Lodge, now taken over and renamed as Celestial Ubin Beach Resort. The beach is not advisable for swimming as it's so dirty
