Lovely clean hotel. Check in was very fast and staff is very helpful. Rooms were clean and not too small. Only problem is it was quite far from the main areas we wanted to visit and the metro cannot be easily reachable.

We arrived about 10 a.m. We were told, that there is an early-check-in fee. This was very bad, because after more than 18 hours of travel: a shower and a change in clothes would have been pretty fine. So we skipped the shower and go on sightseeing; but we were able to store the luggage for free. When we came...

Used the Champion Hotel as a overnight stay on the way to Thailand. Easy taxi ride to area costing just over $10. Was also esy to flag down a taxi to return to the airport. The staff extremely friendly and welcoming and quite efficient. The hotel itself looks well maintained with a pleasant foyer and public spaces. Our room was...

We stayed 2 nights at champion hotel, as a stopover before travelling to Indonesia. We found this hotel ideal for 2 nights, because it's location is convenient between the airport and the city centre. From the airport we took a metro with only the green line and from the metro station it's a short walk to the hotel. The hotel...

Champion Hotel is a really convenient & affordable hotel, with a reception opened 24/7, and located in Joo Chiat Road, so at approx. mid-distance between the airport & the city center. The rooms are quite small, and I got one without windows, which made me feel a bit sequestrated. But otherwise, it's clean and cozy, very functional. The service staff...

This was my third stay at Champion Hotel on Joo Chiat Road. This time I booked 1 night in a single-bedded room as I needed to be out at the airport early the next morning. As I'd prepaid on Agoda no deposit was required for incidentals at the time I checked in. I arrived after 11am and was given my...

This hotel have a nice location in Singapore Katang, the rooms are clean just enough, no possibility to have any meal or drink without one cool and hot automate in lobby. The room size is good but don't fogey to remind than they add 17% of service and VAT. The breakfast isn't in the hotel but in a other coffee...

Staying in Joo Chiat

Neighbourhood Profile
Joo Chiat
The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighbourhood is packed with colourful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding. Visit Joo Chiat to take a break from the big city sights and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a laid-back and local vibe.
