Good reception, my room was clean enough, the room was a bit small in size, no breakfast provided for sure even though hotel decoration looks like luxury. Basic amenities, room got no windows, coffee and kettle was provided in room, boring tv channel, near to Aljunied station, overall its ok.

You get what you pay for. Don't expect much as it is a chain budget hotel. Amenities are basic but good. Plus point is that there is a washing machine n dryer for guests to use. Lots of coffeeshops available for food lovers. Hotel staff front desk Shawn Chiu was very friendly and efficient to our requests. His attitude is...

I did not expect too much and that is what I got. A safety box would have been the most appreciated item in the room. Rather noisy at night with group traffic in the corridors. Central location in Gelling, 10 minute walk to the trains. Security. Whenever I arrive dot the hotel I just asked for they room key by...

This hotel has a huge great point: it is very cheap compared to other accomodation in Singapore. Therefore, if you are on a budget while in Singapore, you should give it a try. However, the hotel is really basic. The rooms are reasonably clean but offer very limited comfort. They are small, not very well equipped (old TV, so-so beds...)...

This hotel is right in the heart of the red light district and after 9 you can take a walk around (quite safely, if you're not a trouble maker!) although probably quite far form major attractions like the bird park (1hr on MRT) It also has many cheap foods around, from different cuisines. It's about 15mins walk to the MRT...

Stayed here for two days, but two days to much. Black long hair everywhere, black small worms on the floor in the shower. Rooms very noisy and smelly. The staf was helpful though. But for me never again.

Had a one night stop-over on the 21st April. Rooms are very small with plenty of noise from outside, wet bathroom not big enough, beds are not very comfortable. Staff were okay & obliging. The area is certainly interesting with some great food places although not the best place to have a female in your group. A far better choice...

The Hotel 81 Palace is perfect for any overnight stopover in Singapore. Have stayed here twice & both times staff were pleasant and the rooms we got we ideal for our needs. Not huge rooms, but comfortable by Singapore budget standards. Bathroom was small, but clean & everything worked. Comfortable bed helped get a good night sleep and that was...

Staying in Geylang

Neighbourhood Profile
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city centre, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colourful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
