2022 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
The Scarlet Singapore, Singapore's first luxury boutique hotel, has made a bold statement, both locally and internationally, by preserving and combining the architectural styles of Singapore heritage buildings with a striking, audacious concept. Vivacious and uninhibited, the interiors of this 80-room hotel pulsate with an eclectic tension, offering all who enter an adventure for the senses. Using signature red and combining it with opulent gold and sophisticated black, the hotel decor's provocative style is followed through in the rooms including 5 individually-themed suites, each with a tantalizing name - Splendour, Passion, Opulent, Lavish and Swank.

Great small hotel in the middle of Singapore. Very clean rooms. Hotel staff was extremely lovely and helpful. I can definitely recommend the hotel to everyone who is looking for a nice city hotel near Chinatown, Outram Park and Downtown Singapore!

Conveniently located and very reasonably priced hotel right in the heart of Singapore. Only seconds away from the Maxwell food centre, MTR, and the bars and restaurants of Chinatown. The room was well equipped - an iron brought to me in minutes on request, spacious bathroom, free minibar (beers, soft drinks, chocolate) and comfy bed. Best thing though is the service; Faizz was on hand to help throughout my stay - thank you - I’ll be back!

This historic hotel has been completely renovated and provides one of the best stays I have experienced in my travels. Large, quiet and comfortable. The room was large, the bed fantastic (!) and had the best rain shower I've ever experienced. One block from Soba St and the beginning of the Chinatown adventure. The hotel restaurant has excellent meals, although unbelievably expensive! Breakfast routinely topped $80 U.S., dinner $120. The staff was professional, friendly and very helpful. I will definitely stay there again, but eat elsewhere. The room had a very large screen TV, a well-stocked minibar and a kettle for coffee. the only windows were high on the wall and did not provide easy egress. Overall evaluation: Excellent value for the money.

So I was interested to see hw this hotel would be. In a historical Building, it has a setting that reminds you of Asia in the 60's. Until you get inside, then it feels like you were transported to an Agatha Christie Novel set in the Orient. You feel the ambience as you go. Now for more practical. The rooms are nice, they are each unique. Nice comfy bed with some firmness, free refillable minibar. But what makes this place even better, is the staff, Unbelievably friendly, helpful and went way beyond to help me out when I needed a place to do some recording with a friend. Offered up suggestions and help, even when not asked, and even the regular cleaning staff were very friendly and outgoing, which is a bit unusual from most who say hi and bow their heads. I moved to this hotel from Sentosa Hard Rock, where I was for a convention, but in the future I will always stay here. Its also super close to Chinatown, which is so convenient for me. Hearty 2 Thumbs Up

We stayed at The Scarlet Singapore for four nights and five days. We were in Singapore for a short holiday, and it was made all the better by the warm, friendly, and helpful staff at The Scarlet Singapore. The hotel is located near many restaurants and shops, and is short walk to Chinatown and the MRT. We will be staying here again!

Exceptionally excellent service - I was so impressed with the complimentary minibar and how the staff, especially Faizz at the front desk, went the extra mile. Lovely to stay so centrally in Chinatown so close to my favourite Hawker centres but also super convenient in terms of public transport links. Quirky yet considered hotel design. The staff made it a wonderful stay, and they seemed pleased to help with booking taxis, loaning umbrellas, giving recommendations etc. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our a one night staycation at Scarlet, to celebrate my partner's birthday. It is conveniently located near Maxwell Mrt. We were amazed with the hospitality and friendliness of Faizz and his team of front desk receptionist staffs that would go out of their way to ensure their guest's needs are well met and their guest are well taken care off, even their room attendents were very welcoming and friendly! Hotel staffs are really key to make one stay feels like home. We were staying in the Lavish room which had very beautiful interior design and was very spacious and clean, with 100% blackout curtains and a very huge tv with netflix included. Plus points, the bathroom was fantastic, with both standing shower and a private bathtub/jacuzzi and bath salts provided. There were also a free mini-bar with beers, wines, coffee, other beverages and nuts too! Overall, very pleased and highly recommended! Will definitely be back to try their other themed rooms!

Decided on a spontaneous solo staycation and stumbled upon this gem of a boutique hotel. Was booked into one of their themed suites and it was truly a memorable experience. The room was clean, cosy, and came fitted with unique decor and furnishings that is definitely unlike any other hotel I've stayed before. There are attached balconies for some of the suite rooms, and I was thankful to be assigned one with. To top it off, the room comes with a fully stock bar with drinks and wines. These are replenished everyday and the spacious living area makes it suitable for a cosy gathering for any occasion. All the staff were super friendly and passionate and really helped make my stay even more pleasant. Special shout out goes to 1) Nabila, who helped me out with patience and kindness when sorting out some booking issues I had. 2) Faiz, who went the extra mile made sure I was well situated in my room when I extended my stay. Overall, a 10/10 rating to the establishment and the team for staying committed to their service level. Will definitely come back again in the near future.

We had just one night stay at the Scarlet, but wished we could of stayed for longer! The hotel itself is beautiful, set in an ideal location and furnished to perfection inside. It felt extremely clean and well looked after, the sheets were fresh and the bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was very spacious with nice fresh towel and a very powerful shower. The mini bar had everything that we could of wanted and more!! A special mention has to go to the staff at the hotel - from the minute we walked into the beautiful lobbed we were greeted by the lovely smiley Faizz and Ayub. I can’t give these lovely men enough credit. They were extremely friendly, knowledgable of the area and made us feel very at home and welcome during our stay!

Dear J-Bty Thank you for the special mention of Faizz and Ayub. Our Ambassadors have truly made us proud. The recently-opened subway station just across the hotel made connectivity to every point of interest in Singapore much more seamless and convenient. We hoped you have also enjoyed exploring the rustic bohemian district of Ann Siang Hill. Looking forward to your return soon .... and we hope it's longer the next time. Kind regards Anasri Onn EAM The Scarlet Singapore
