The hotel room is big compared with other hotels in Orchid Road. Room is clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient and good for shopping and restaurant. Hotel staff is helpful. Gym is simple but has necessary facilities Swimming pool view is nice.
I have stayed in this hotel several times, It is now the third time I am disappointed by the window in the room, the air-conditioning system which is overly loud and the breakfast which is imposed with no toast (unless you pay extra). For this range of hotel this is not acceptable anymore.
Stayed here for 5 nights. Good location, limited services due to covid period closures and they are short staffed. It was easy to work out because no one answering phone at reception when I called from room many times. Staff are overworked at present and there are long queues at reception. Aircon stopped working one night but fixed very promptly by maintenance engineer. Despite all this, it is a nice hotel and worth staying at. The front desk staff,specially Shafiq is really great and so well mannered and welcoming and helpful, despite the obvious workload. They should get a pay rise! I think once fully operational now that singapore has opened up,this hotel will definitely be back to its pre pandemic best! Recommended..
We were actually graciously upgraded to a suite! Other than the army of ants throughout the stay and the water temperature that took ages to heat up, all was good! The aircon was one of the most powerful in all my hotel stays! Which IMO is a good thing, especially in this weather. Look forward to staying again after the renovations!
Orchard Rendezvous is the perfect hotel for a holiday stay. A lovely location with a lot of accessibility to different ventures in and around the city. The main highlights of the hotel are the ambience, staff and their hospitality. When we first entered the hotel we were welcomed by this beautiful, kind women Liya at the front desk. She is an epitome of how client servicing needs to done in a hospitality sector. The main quality in her was she would go out of the way to help you. For us from the beginning we stepped our foot into the hotel and till we left she was our one point of contact who helped us through every step of the way as the city was new to us. Even the smallest of things were taken care of, when we couldn't get our sim card to work she took us personally to the store and got it fixed for us, showed us the nearest cold storage if we wanted to buy food and took us back to the hotel. Liya also suprised us with a birthday suprise were she gave us complete gift hamper with wine, fruit baskets and pastries to make us feel specials and valued. She helped us with an early check-in and a late check out. She guided us with our travel and even offered to purchase an MRT card for us so that the experience in city could be smooth. She booked us a cab to places that we wanted and see and also bought us some tasty Singaporean snacks that we could not get anywhere else apart from Singapore there as a goodbye gift. She suggested places that we could dine in the city. I have been to many hotels and come across many front desk excecutives but Liya has been one in a million and we will always cherish her for the kind, awesome person that was during our stay. Fantastic breakfast, almost like a French restaurant quality, large room, good price. But WIFI weak in my room, and TV sound too low. The lobby has no chairs or sofas in front of the check-in counter, we have to sit 40 meters away from the entrance landing for incoming pick-up cars, which is an inconvenience for us and those who are picking us up.
The staff are not helpful at all. 45 mins wait during check-in. all my guests and make up artist we’re waiting at the lobby. Front desk never pick up call, no matter what time. Worse experience, had to walk personally to the front desk. Bottled water not provided, even I request personally as staying in the bridal suite. It’s very inconvenient for ppl hosting their wedding banquet on that day. Parking coupons are only given during check out. so I can’t drive out during the stay. and I need every single registration plate for the coupon. I have a total of 8 rooms, you expect me to get every single car plate? other hotels just give upon check in or at request. suggest you demolish the car park as well, save your trouble.
Peaceful stay Stay at orchard rendezvous Want to take the opportunity to say a big thanks to the staff at orchard rendezvous hotel Shout out to Mel at reception who Checked us in and help to extend our checkout to later timing and gave us a room upgrade. Also to Liya and Loga who attended to us at the club lounge They were very attentive and friendly and upon knowing that we had kids and not being able to come to the lounge as it was strictly meant for adults, they made some provision to send some snacks like cookies and drinks to them in the room. They were very generous and Loga even took time to take our order in advance for food canapé so that it would be ready when we returned later in the evening. Also thanks to staff at reception who promptly provide a mask for my daughter when we came down without one and requested it. Our stay at the hotel was made perfect as despite some minor inconvenience, we just have good reviews about the staff that overshadow it all. Good news too, no need to book for gym or pool anymore with the easing of the safe management now. Just some pointers now just to up the good experience we had. Upon checking in, there weren’t any queue system so various people were approaching the counter randomly to check in- hence it was messy. The hotel is undergoing some renovations and hence we were informed that there would be some times that it would be noisy and that was fine as we hadn’t plan to stay in the room , but as my husband was unwell, he rested mostly in the room and though there was the occasional knocks and sounds, it was mostly bearable. However as the place is undergoing Reno, the pool was only accessible via the office lift- perhaps good to let the guests know. Also no bathrobes in room, so that may be a little inconvenient when making your way to the pool and back. In room, there is a master switch but couldn’t tell . Hence we were fumbling in the dark at night as to why the switches weren’t working😂 In toilet, would be ideal to have a bidet as it would be easier especially for older people who need to sit and wash. Also the toilet is exceptionally big which we liked but privacy was lacking as there weren’t any locks and the glass doors were not frosted. Food at breakfast was less satisfying as it was alacart menu unlike the usual breakfast buffets at some hotels. I would say the food served during the evening canapés at the lounge was far better, and more appetising. Wifi was dismal and mainly relied on own mobile data. All in all the experience was still good. We walked out for our local fare and satisfied our cravings. And did some shopping . Had a great staycation with pool and gym included and would stay again if the opportunity arise.…
I have to say this is the best staycation experience I’ve ever had! I will like to extend my appreciation to few of the staffs who has taken well care of us and has given us a “feels at home” feel during our 3d2n stays. Thanks to Ms Liya Ghazali, whom has showering us with her warmth n care and her hospitality towards us, since before our stays begins. I’ve never experience anything like this from my previous staycation from other hotels. Ms Sofia, thanks for taking care of our checkin at the reception. She is friendly and fast with the check in process. Mr Loga, thanks for taking care of us at the club lounge with our food and drinks. Your attentiveness is very much appreciated. Last but not the least, Mr Nick, thanks for taking care of our rooms. After being outside all day, it’s good to see my room so neat and tidy. All the above staffs mentioned are truely the stars and assets to the company…. Rendezvous Host Team!
