I stayed in this hotel with my wife during Valentine's day. We were not disappointed. The room was great and the bed was comfortable. We tried having our breakfast at the room so we could enjoy them while looking at the view from our hotel window. The location is right at the center of the city area, it is very... More

It all started with a pretty bad experience at the counter with an inexperienced and/or bad receptionist. Carlton had made a mistake on the reservation (an additional bed was missing in one of our two rooms), receptionist said it was my fault until I proved them wrong, but he still did not believe me and asked me to send him... Booked for weekend staycation and trust me, I have stayed in many hotels locally and overseas throughout my life. So I thought, why not try Carlton as it has undergone renovation works? Big mistake. 3 front desk staff handling check in during peak timings, creating a queue. Paper record states room on 7 or 8th floor but I was actually... More

I stayed here for a week attending a conference at Raffles City which is just over the road. Check in and check out were efficient and friendly. My room was on the 8th floor with a view of nothing in particular. No coffee machine, just a kettle. The room was clean and comfortable, with just enough shelf and storage space... More

Just a good hotel. Quite a difference between the old and the new tower. Position of this hotel is also quite nice, all interesting things in the city centre are within walking distance (if you do not mind to walk 10 minutes) Outside pool and a gym completes the picture

Great renovation. Rooms are comfortable and easy to work from. Staff friendly. The big let down was the hot water system which seemed to surge hot and cold and so you had to have a cold shower or get burnt. Two colleagues also had a similar problem. Advised the staff twice who gave no feedback or seemed to do anything... More

In the past two days I have had £3,300 put against my card, of that I authorized £1200. The real icing on the cake was when I asked them to stop after only 850 of unauthorized charges they chucked through another £1200. The food I have tried is terrible (think croissants baked with margarine instead of butter). The staff are... More

Nicely renovated and clean hotel, good location - BUT it is now so big that service is slow, lifts are slow, lobby is crowded and noisy....waiting to check in and check out (15 minutes wait at 6.50am??) is not what a business traveller wants. Will not go back.

Stayed there many times. A well maintained 80's 4.5* hotel hotel has two wings, ask for the new one, or book it in advance. Food is so so only. rooms are disappointing unless you get to stay at the renovated ones. As for facilities of spa, gym and pool: 4.5* hotel. Thus, nothing amazing. Nonetheless, Does the job for a... The Hotel has just gone through a major renovation. Only the Premier Tower was opened, with 300 rooms, while the crew on the other tower was revving up getting ready for 1000+ rooms. Yes 1000+ rooms, that's how massive it is going to be once fully operational. So if you are looking for some personalised attention, you probably need to... More
