Carlton is our go-to hotel in Singapore, as we find it good value in a place where hotels are expensive in general. The hotel is well-located in City Hall, with excellent access to public transport, shopping and food. Staff are friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. We have stayed in a Studio Room, which has a bathtub and fantastic views. It is just about large enough for two adults and four suitcases - recommend to upgrade if more space is required.

We just came back from a wonderful week in Singapore, where we stayed at the Carlton. It was the first time we stay at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised! We couldn;t have asked for a better location, it's in the center with a close proximity to 2 MRT stations, surrounded by shops, walking distance to museums, and great places to dine. I was specially impressed by how friendly the staff is! The concierge Mr Ali was extremely helpful and always greeted us with a smile, gave us a map, explained where everything is and suggested places to dine in and visit. The hotel is very clean, sanitisers are located everywhere, the rooms are extremely spacious and toiletries are provided individually wrapped. We're definitely going to stay at the Carlton in our next visit to Singapore!

Overall an excellent stay at the Carlton Singapore. The location is great, short walking distance to the metro station and surrounded by places to eat and drink (Chijmes across the street is well worth checking out, a great vibe). I was in Singapore on business so appreciated the hotels proximity to the CBD area. Breakfast was good, with a wide range of options although the dining hall get very busy in the morning. Room was a decent size with coffee machine, ironing board and iron, bath tub and accessories - nice view over the city too. Overall a very pleasant stay and I will come back next time I'm in Singapore

My wife and I recently stayed at the Carlton 24 to 30th October 2022. We had stayed there on a previous trip and enjoyed its location and the hotel itself so much we wanted to stay there again. It was a good choice - our stay could not have been better. Everything was excellent and especially the staff throughout the hotel, from front desk to the restaurant to the cleaning personnel. A big thankyou to Lionel Wang and the team in the Club for their first - class service. Hopefully we will return to Singapore some day and we will head straight for the Carlton! The service in this hotel is the worst. I understand that the hotel staff can be very busy at certain times of the day to check in guests or other "misc" matters. However, it seems to me that hotel staff deliberately ignore calls made to the reception or concierge from my room at any time of the day (be it the hours from 3-6pm or 10-12pm). I have made a total of nearly 10 calls during my stay. None were answered. The audacity of the hotel comes when I got to the reception, I found that it was empty. From asking for soap and shampoo to calling for maintenance due to faulty systems in the room, your guests have to go all the way down. What kind of service is this? Every time after housekeeping had cleaned the room, the aircon always malfunctions, being stuck at 64 degrees. I don't understand this. On top of this, if your customer has highlighted this issue once to you, you should take measures to prevent this from happening. After having had a long day, the last thing I want to do is to deal with all these issues every night. An absolute nightmare. Worst, reception staff is unfriendly. All these things on repeat day in day out have really put me off. There is no point in marketing yourself as some premium hotel if you cannot even get the fundamentals of customer and basic hotel services right. Given that I am on a business trip I had no choice but to stay here. If I am here in Singapore on my own volition, be assured Carlton that I definitely not choose to stay in your hotel. I will not recommend this hotel to any one.

This hotel is ideally situated to explore Singapore. So much is in walking distance. Lovely spacious rooms that are also very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. I would happily stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times when visiting Singapore. We have always chosen a Premier Club room, which we understood to be on the top 2 floors and has a lovely lounge for the use of its Premier Club members, where one could escape the rat race, have breakfast, read papers, use the internet, have a coffee, and some drinks and nibblies in the evening. On arrival there on 31 Aug 22, having booked a Premier Club room 12 months before, we were advised on check in that the Premier Club lounge closed during Covid and there were no plans to re-open it. They told us that they had notified our travel agent, Expedia, but we booked through Flight Centre! Either way, we were not advised. Had we been, we would definitely have gone elsewhere. They placed us on a high floor, but not on the top two. They gave us an allowance of S$60 per day towards breakfast downstairs, but it did not compensate for the lack of amenities were had been so looking forward to. Our room was clean but looking a bit tired. There was one electrical plug with wires hanging out, which concerned us (see pic). Face washers are no longer supplied. We stayed 3 nights, but they never replaced the little bottle of body lotion. There are no compendiums anymore and everything is done through a QR code that is on a card in the rooms. We had trouble with the hotel wifi and couldn't access the in-room dining menu, so we rang for a hard copy. It never came. Twice more we asked the concierge who promised to put one in our room, but it never came. All round, it was a disappointing hotel stay and we won't be coming back.

This hotel is in a great location! Can walk to many tourist attractions and many eateries close by. Hotel offers all that is needed for a good stay in Singapore, comfortable beds, water provided in rooms, robes in rooms, room service available. Only negative was there weren’t any wine glasses or cutlery in the room, but were quickly provided upon request.

Has some work to do in improving it's business and environmentally friendly credentials. The gym and breakfast both opening at 7am is unacceptable in a global city. Many of your guests have meetings and want to exercise and eat beforehand. The 7am queue for breakfast says it all, people milling around and rushing to get a bite before going out. Same with exercising, you have many guests coming in from Australia which is generally 3 hours behind so they want to exercise first thing in the morning to beat jetlag. In an environmental sense the property needs to be more ambitious with being green. It's fairly standard these days to reduce plastic usage so simple steps like putting in jugs of water instead of multiple bottles, putting toiletries in cannisters instead of daily replenishment of tiny plastic bottles, and use of signage or system to see if guests need so many new towels daily will help you be a more responsible global citizen and will please your guests for making some kind of effort. On a positive note, the breakfast is impressive, location good and for the most part start friendly and efficient.

Room 1456 is supposedly a ‘Premier’ room category. The room decor is outdated with a smell of wet carpet underlay. No PowerPoints or USB charging at bedside with moving furniture. The TV is poorly tuned making it impossible to watch. The front desk staff are on auto pilot and don’t really seem engaged. I very disappointing experience. I will not return.
