We stayed here for 2 nights before flying on to other destinations- the booking was made by our travel agent in the UK. The location was quiet and interesting, it felt safe to walk around the area, we found amazing supermarkets and had the best meal along the street for just a few dollars. We were a five minute walk...

This was a cozy place to stay it has a very old and antique feel to it. Clean and tidy, the do nice Buffett breakfast in the dinning room. Room was a little small but had everything thing we needed. The were lots of restaurants around the hotel, walkable distance to the mrt or train station.

Old world hotel that is very run down, it was sad to see it's historic charm has not been kept up. It is conveniently located to MRT and Chinatown. However the sidewalks are not easy to traverse for those with mobility issues. There are several small restaurants and bars around the area which seem to be popular. It is difficult...

Stayed here with a few other co-workers during a business trip. Nearby to co-working spaces, food stalls and walking distance to MRT. There's also food courts nearby. Rooms are small in size but good enough for a comfortable stay.

The hotel was well located amongst eateries, however, the photos do not tell the storey. 1. on reaching our floor the stains which met us in the hall was not welcoming and it was old and ratty. 2. The room was large however the bathroom was not, you could not open the door as it hit the toilet. The shower...

A heritage listed building that takes you back to yesteryear. No plastic, no glitz, just charm. The hotel is surrounded by quality bars and restaurants. It's conveniently accessible by many transport options. Suitable for business or pleasure.

This hotel is well priced for Singapore. We booked a regular king room. When we got there we were "upgraded" to a loft room. This is a very poorly laid out room. On the lower level there is a tiny couch and desk. The chair of the desk is wedged behind the stairs so you cant pull it out to...

Awesome experience. Near lots of food and pubs. Walking distance to MRT and attractions around ChinaTown. Did I mention food? you won't get hungry around here. Room size was good. Although there are pub with music across the street, i couldnt really hear it from the room.

Don't be fooled by the photographs on the website and the flowery description of the accommodation, the place is a dump. Lovely facade, nice location but oh dear inside is awful. Filthy and is almost falling down. DO NOT book online and pay in advance in case, like me, you don't like what you see on arrival and check out...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
