We stayed one night at Village Hotel to celebrate my sister's 60th Birthday. When I mentioned I wanted my sister to experience something special Sheila was more than glad to provide us the usage of business lounge in the hotel. In addition she also extended early and late check out. My sister was very happy and we enjoyed our staycation....

The hotel is located in the Arab Street vicinity. It's about 5 min walk to the beautiful Sultan Mosque and there are many halal eateries within walking distance. There are popular 'murtabak' stalls and other local cuisine to fulfill your gastronomic need.

Very nice rooms - spacious and also the wifi was good The swimming pool was a little crowded in the sense that all entrances lead to it and convention, restaurant guest all seem to have access to the pool. The location was good and bugis is just 5 to 10 minute walk

Dear Sanjay N, Thank you for taking time to write this kind review. There are two tenant restaurants in the hotel serving buffet breakfast. Mooi Chin on the 3rd floor serves local with a Chinese flavor , while The Landmark on the 5th floor serves international with Indian flavor. Thank you for choosing Village Hotel Bugis. A very nice to stay with your family, with a lovely view of Petronas & KL Tower. The food is really good and so is the service. The staff are very friendly & helpful. A wise choice to make for your stay if you are visiting Singapore with your family.

Our room is neat, clean and simple. Nice view from our room. Free wifi and complimentary mini hamper. Just a room call, immediately the hotel staff came to fix our room safe. This is a great spot to stay with quaint restaurants, boutiques, bars and charming heritage 'Kampong Glam' just nearby. There is a MRT station just two streets away...

We stayed for 4 nights to explore Singapore. The hotel is ideally located next to Bugis MRT, in walking distance to Orchard road and next to Arab street with several restaurants. The rooms have been renovated on the surface, it looks clean, but e.g. toilet flush is not working properly. Breakfast is not recommended, there are several cheaper opportunities next...

Stayed for one night in here. The location is good. A wide choice of halal restaurants nearby. The only drawback is the not friendly front desk staff. Not even one smile was offered by the front desk staff. The check out also not a breeze as there was no separate counter for check in and check out.

We stayed at Village Hotel Bugis in a suite room (18th floor with executive club benefits) for x5 nights August 2016. No Western dishes. The so-called. Western food is not what it would be. You need to steer clear of the restaurant on the 3rd floor. Poor quality, not clean, disgusting. Restaurant On the 5th is acceptable but still problem with western food.

Neighbourhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly coloured fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Centre and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
