We stayed in this hotel for two nights. It is within two blocks of the MRT Bugis Station and so close to the Bugis Street Markets. Only two stops from Bayfront where you can explore the Gardens by the Bay and the Marina Sands Hotel complex. The buffet breakfast $15 was satisfactory. The rooms were quiet, very clean and had...

Wasn't very detailed upon checking in. Asked for king sized bed but got twin beds instead. Asked for smoking room but didn't get it either. But was fortunate to get a newly renovated room. Overall experience was average.

This is my 3rd or 4th visit to this hotel. We love this hotel due to the location (near Bugit MRT St, bus stop to pretty much anywhere, and our fave places to eat). Will comeback again for sure whenever they have special rate (which they always have on special occasion or event. You should subscribe to their mailing list).

I am not going to detail this review because I've done so the first time I visited Village Hotel Bugis. I don't usually repeat hotels just so I can experience other services and properties. But the fact that Village Hotel Bugis remains to be very competitive in price, location, and accommodation -- how can I resist??? :) And now, I've...

near middle east food court and mosque but acoustic quality is a little bit low. It will be better if the check in time is at noon or 13:00 instead of 14:00. The Grab Taxi counter is out of order. There is no welcome drink and lobby sitting facility is very limited.

MRT station is one block away, masjid Sultan is just across the street. The neighborhood is full of malay, Indonesian and middle eastern eateries. The famous Kampong Glam cafe is just 5 minutes walk..

Dear JenJenRubes, We are glad that you appreciate our convenient location, and spacious deluxe room. Contrary to your assumption, our guest are not predominantly Muslims. The pool side tenant restaurant does not serve alcohol. The 3rd floor restaurant do serve alcohols for consumption by the pool or in your room. We recommend you opt for the club room package to...

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighbourhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly coloured fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Centre and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
