A fantastic experience - perfect rooms, staff, service and location. The amenities at this hotel are excellent - big family pool, garden trail and waterfalls (clearly maintained) and buffet is extensive and delicious. We stayed in the Valley Wing - reasonably priced with delicious breakfast, afternoon tea and canapés (accompanied by entertainment from a harpist). The only criticism is that the service in the valley wing was a little slow at times, and the canapés/afternoon tea portions were smaller than at other hotels offering a similar service. Overall, a very good stay at the Shangri-La Singapore.

We've had a fantastic 3-nights stay over the Christmas period. Would definitely come back & and recommend it to others. Here's our experience: As a young family of 3 with a two and a half years old toddler, we are always looking for comfort, children activities, convenient location & great food. Shangri-la ticked all the boxes & even exceeded our expectations. From the arrival until the check-out we've had the best time. The hotel was very busy due to the high season of Christmas but everything was always delivered smoothly by the staff. The check-in was done quite fast & our son received a lovely goodie bag. Huge attraction for the kids is the kids' club. It is one of the best we've ever seen anywhere in the world. From soft play area, to organised classes & activities, music studio. Super cool & our son had so much fun! Pool area was great too, lots of palm trees around, nice layout & the green area on the side with a walkway down is beautiful. Generally beautiful hotel grounds, well kept & lovely to enjoy. We've had some food & drinks by the pool and all was good. We've also tried the kids pool which is in a different area & it's really fantastic for kids of all ages. For breakfast we've opted for delicious pastry at the cafe in the lobby. Everything was so delicious! We love how there was a choir singing Christmas carols during on a few occasions. The lobby was decorated so beautifully for Christmas. It was a full on Christmas feel in Shangri-la which we've really enjoyed. Generally we've had some arranged bookings in the restaurants outside so we were always heading out for that, but we actually have regrets we didn't check out the restaurants in the hotel. So definitely we will do that next time. The location of the hotel is great too. We've walked to the Orchard Road for Christmas shopping every day of our stay, it was a pleasant 10-15 minutes walk. Our room was comfortable, also good size bathroom. We've also stayed at Ritz-Carlton Milenia during the same trip to experience the other part of the city (separate review) - great stay too but Shangri-la would be the place we would come back in the future for sure! …

The service was first class from all shangri-la team members (Reception, lobby lounge, poolside bar, the line, waterfalls, spa, housekeeping & Cafe/bakery. Always polite and swift with delivering the goods. The cleanliness of the rooms was always excellent. The offerings from all the restaurants/bars is exceptional. They give you a large variety of dining options which are all fantastic. Zeniya was especially awesome.

Excellent hotel in the heart of the city with great service and wonderful amenities for families and kids! Tharu Ravikumar Naviader was our waiter in multiple occasions and he is an excellent! Highly recommend to try and find him and he will surely take care of all your needs with a great smile!

This Hotel seemed very impressive with a great name and great reputation. Sadly we were left feeling very underwhelmed, especially after coming from Shangri-La Far Eastern in Taipei. There seemed to be many floor staff in the lobby (looking busy) and their main focus was on the corporate clients who were there for a conference and not on guest's like us who were on holidays. Rooms were small / average in size and quality. Main bar staff were ok, could do a lot better with customer service. Housekeeping room attendants were on point and did an amazing job. Breakfast staff - great job each morning dealing with the busy morning rush and no doubt some rude impatient guests waiting to be seated - keep up the great work. Chef's: THANK YOU for the consistency and quality of food - Egg Stations were fantastic. To the Staff at "Waterfall" wow your customer service failed from the moment we sat down until the moment we left. No welcome, no interaction, no smiles, basically we felt like "order food, eat, pay the bill and leave" very disappointed ! But the food was seafood dish was amazing. Our biggest THANK YOU was to JEGA and CARLOS at concierge . Both were very friendly, attentive, warm and welcoming. It was a pleasure dealing and speaking with them daily. Dont ever consider choosing this hotel. Customer sevice and customer priority is not their priority. We booked for 3 nights but had to cancel 10 days before our trip. They insist on charging 3 nights as penalty, mentioning that this is their policy and strict on gaining money. Even though we did not visit them it seems they are only money focused and choose another hotel who gives more importance to their customers. I am sure there are many. Choose another hotel!

I recently had the privilege of staying at your esteemed hotel from September 21st to September 25th, and felt the urge to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional hospitality. Upon our check-in, I was warmly greeted by Iris. Her warm welcome and kindness made us forget the fatigue from our long flight. Traveling with my parents, who are not fluent in English, could have been a challenge. However, Peggy went above and beyond to assist them. She patiently explained everything to my parents, used a translator to communicate, and additionally took the time to inform them about the afternoon tea time in the lobby. My parents were profoundly moved by Peggy's kindness and dedication. Throughout our stay, Peggy showed genuine care and attention towards my parents, ensuring their comfort and happiness. Because of her, our experience in Singapore was nothing short of delightful and memorable. This is a beautiful hotel with plenty to offer, combined with friendly / helpful staff - there’s exemplary room attendants who cater to your individual preferences (e.g., making my bed in the strange way I usually have it) and a special mention to Navin & Ravi Kumar at the pool bar who consistently looked after us and went above any beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. If it weren’t for kind and professional staff like this, our experience would not have been quite as special as what it was. Highly recommend!
