Swissôtel The Stamford Singapore garners accolades for its spotless environment and prime location with seamless connectivity to shopping and transport. While the hotel's atmosphere and amenities, including its spectacular harbor views and extensive breakfast selection, are a hit among guests, some have expressed concerns regarding room size and air conditioning. The service is generally commended for its professionalism, but there is room for improvement in the check-in experience. Conversely, the value proposition has been criticized due to high costs and additional charges.

Due to our cruise cancellation our three night stay here turned into twelve nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Swissotel on Stamford. Despite previous posts, we found the check in process to be simple, we were helped by a staff member and our bags were taken up to our room by another very friendly man. Our room was on the 38th floor, it was spacious and very comfortable, although the beds seemed smaller than double beds. Our view over the city was breathtaking. The pool area was pleasant and there were never any issues finding a sun lounge.
The best thing about this hotel is the location, so many attractions are a short walking distance away. There are two MRT stations very close and there is a large shopping mall underneath.
The only reason I didn't give the hotel 5 stars, is because we had a daily issue with housekeeping. There were three people staying in our room yet each day they only left enough towels for two people. The other issue we had was breakfast, thankfully we didn't pay for breakfast every day, but on the few times we did have it we found it to be extremely crowded. We had to walk over to the Fairmont each morning for breakfast and we always had to wait in line to get in the restaurant. There was also a long wait for a lot of the food, particularly the egg station. It was not a pleasant experience. Despite these two negatives, we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else if we return to Singapore.

I love the view, beautiful sea and city (MBS & Flyer view) and it looks mesmerizing at night. Room is spacious for a Premier room. There’s a sofa with work desk and swivel chair that can seat 3 people comfortably. The toilet is spacious although the flush for the WC didn’t work. It was quickly rectified by technician at night when I was back in my room. I enjoyed the Nespresso and TWG tea provided in room and during the day when I was out, house keeping staff came in and topped up the coffee capsules and left some Toblerone chocolates by the bed. The room furniture and bathroom fittings look and feel new. Bed feels clean although pillow is too soft for me. I did not check if a pillow menu was available before turning in. One thing that I thought could be improved was the print out slip that indicated my room number and other hotel information. It was printed on a credit. card charge slip; it feels cheap, flimsy and unbefitting for the luxury hotel. I understand it is cheaper to print it out as such but perhaps printing it out on a thicker piece of paper won’t increase costs by that much. I’m a normal Accor member and did not receive any room upgrade or access to Executive Lounge nor complimentary breakfast. It is chargeable for about s$100 plus but I did not opt for that as I have my child with me, and my child will not be able to enter the Executive Lounge during cocktail hour. Overall I enjoyed the room a lot and the comfortable and new fittings in the room made my stay really homely. A great experience overall! Thanks Swissotel.

My wife and I stayed at The Stamford for three nights, with another couple on a post-cruise stop over.
All the staff were very attentive from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a lovely lady in the reception who checked us in and despite being early, managed to find two rooms that had been fully cleaned for both couples to check into straight away. This made a huge difference to our stay.
The hotel is in a great location for seeing the sights of Singapore, quite a lot of which you can walk too but if you don't fancy walking in the heat, we found that the Taxi's were cheap (providing you get the right one's!) and a good way to get around.
This is a "Top-End" Hotel, it's not cheap but if you fancy spoiling yourself you'll struggle to do better.
We ate in both the Brasserie and the Italian Restaurants at the hotel, both were very nice indeed.
The hotel is linked to quite a large shopping centre which has an extensive food area where you can get all types of dining at very reasonable prices. Which is also really helpful.

Hi just recently returned from a 10 night stay at The Swissotel Stamford. Singapore being on my bucket list. So carefully researched and done my homework in choosing this particular hotel. I know some people would say well a hotel is just somewhere to get your head down. Trust me this hotel adds to your overall experience of this fabulous city. After a tiresome 14hr flight from the UK (Not to mention total travelling time) we arrived to be met and great by friendly smiling staff who ensured our check in was super smooth. We were then transported to the 55th floor and shown to our room.Upon entering our super clean spacious modern room I opened the curtains to reveal an absolutely stunning view of the harbour /marina and vistas across the city. From that point on those curtains remained open 24/7 enabling us to absorb that stunning view night and day. A view that will remain with me forever. The king size bed and washroom facilities were outstanding with modern lighting including mood lighting dimmers andiw level sensor skirting lighting to gently guide you to the bathroom during the night. Another welcoming feature was the lovely clean swimming pool deck on the 8th floor which was soothing in the 34oC Heat
The hotel is ideally located for access to all attractions and amenities inuding MRT and the super Raffles City air conditioned Shopping mall underneath the hotel complex with food courts and numerous high quality shopping outlets
Words cannot describe. This is the first time I have used the Swissotel Brand and can definately say was impressed and will definately use again and recommend anyone to stay here and you will not be dissapointed
A credit to all the hard working staff in a customer focused environment a credit to Hotel management Jacqueline Poey

Thank you for looking after us
Many thanks

This hotel is spectacular. The rooms are gorgeous and luxurious. The food is wonderful. The staff is truly amazing -- they did surprise action to make sure you are happy.
I highly recommend this hotel for everyone whom prefers a comfortable bed, fantastic view, big room, and sure, everyone hope to meet with amazing staff and I met 2!! Sophie and Cryil are amazed me.
We got a special treat as early check in, showing us the Gorgeous Marina Bay View Suite and I feel sorry even the price and package are amazing but it's over our budget plan. He also very helpful and kind let us had our breakfast after check in instead of have it on last day as we going to leave the hotel at 7am. Even after he ended his shift, pass by the mall and found that we are lost and can't find where the Prego located, he immediately lead us the way and remind the staff said, this is the guest I informed you earlier. So warm and touched!! :)

Staff at Prego are very welcoming too. The girl at the counter are very polite and efficient and a guy named Aaron have a very nice smile and with high awareness, every time when we just empty our food plate he will immediately cleared our used plate. Special bar with fresh juice prepared and nice waffles. Lady work at the egg station is nice, the scramble egg is my daily favorite. We feel satisfied and comfortable to have our breakfast at Prego however after 9 to 930 am it's kinda crowded and long queue.

From check-in, to breakfast, and check out, they made my stay extra enjoyable. 100% and excellent. I wish we could visit again with the nice view and stay in the amazing suite room. (if could have a Korean speaker staff is a plus )

I booked a trip to Singapore for my Husbands 30th Birthday and after deliberating for months on what hotel to choose, I am so glad I picked this one! I emailed the staff in advance to advise this was a special occasion and they gave us a room overlooking the Marina & Marina Bay Sands, the view was absolutely spectacular! On arrival the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. I had an issue with my bank card at the front desk and they didn’t pester me to get it resolved, I was given the keys to my room and told to come back down at my convenience. I was able to sort this within the hour but the flexibility of your staff and customer service was second to none. The rooms were modern, clean, tidy and there were fresh slippers/toiletries left each day. The hotel location is amazing and is central to all major attractions. We spent 4 nights in Singapore and were able to cover everything we wanted to. The hotel is a 5 min walk to the main tour bus stop where you can catch the sightseeing bus to all the lines advertised. The hotel is also within walking distance to the Raffles (2mins), Merlion (10mins), Boat Quay (10mins) and Marina Bay Sands/Singapore Flyer (20mins)... all which are safe and pleasant walks. I am so glad I picked this hotel and would definitely return. When you compare the location and price to other hotels in the area, the standard you receive at Swissotel The Stamford is worth every penny!

We booked through Accor to stay at this hotel for 3 nights. On arrival we were greeted straight away by the staff who directed us to the computers where you check yourself in and assisted us in that process.

We were assigned room 5250 on the 52nd floor which has amazing views towards Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.
Swissotel is one of South East Asia's tallest hotels. It was hard to get used the lifts as they go quite quickly and your ears become blocked.

The room was beautiful!!! We had a double room with 2 beds for the 4 of us. The room has a balcony so you can enjoy the views. It also has a mini bar which was empty. I assume you can get this filled up upon request.
The shower has a rain shower and shower head you can pick from, with the shower head having different settings from smooth to massage.

The lights gave us a laugh as when you turned all the lights off there was a dim bathroom and under bedside table lights that stayed on. We worked it out eventually... they are sensor lights so when you get up in the night to get water or the toilet the dim lights turn on.

You are given 4 bottles of water daily, if you require more just head down to reception, take another escalator, then the basement of the hotel complex and you will be in Raffles City Mall which has every food and flavour you could think of. The MRT is attached to this mall called City Hall.

Breakfast was included in our booking at Clove which had a decent spread of food to suit everyone. There was tea, coffee, juices, still and sparkling water, cereals, pastries, pancakes, waffles, asian delights, western delights, cheeses and cured meats.

The staff in all locations of the hotel were very helpful and really lovely to the kids interacting and having conversations with them.

Check out was much the same process as checking in which is quick and easy on a computer. I would stay at this hotel again if we were to come back to Singapore.

We stayed at the Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore on the back end of our Honeymoon. We landed in Singapore on an early morning flight and were really hoping for an early check in so that we could clean up, leave our bags and then go out exploring... and that was exactly what we got!
As soon as our Cab pulled up to the hotel, we had staff opening our doors, taking our bags and leading us straight over to the very modern check in desk. We didn't even need to ask about check in, he had it all ready to go for us. The check in process was very quick and easy and before we knew it, we were in our room and our bags were delivered. We received all of the information that we needed also about restaurants, wifi, etc. Staff at the Concierge Desk were more than happy to chat to us later in the day about recommendations for a good Coffee, Chilli Crab, etc and they were more than happy to answer any questions that we had. They were great! :)
The staff delivered a celebratory chocolate cake to our room on our first night, as a complimentary gift to celebrate our Honeymoon. This was a very nice surprise! :)

The hotel room was very clean and tidy. The room and bathroom were both a good size. We had a great view of Marina Bay from our balcony, which was so nice to look at when the sun went down and all of the bay was lit up. The bed was very comfortable also.

Staff at the Hotel were always very helpful and friendly. Hotel is in a good location- close to Raffles Hotel, Raffles Mall and walking distance to other attractions (bars, restaurants, shopping).

Prego- This was where we had our included Buffet Breakfast each morning. There was always a wide range of food to choose from and the Egg station was always prepared very well! Friendly staff that always came to check on you throughout Breakfast to make sure everything was okay, which was great! There was food from all around the world on offer at Breakfast- lots of options for us each day. We were also able to be seated straight away each day by the lovely lady at the front desk, and we were able to go and get our Breakfast, eat it and be on our way to start the day. We were happy! :)

The Hotel links to the Fairmont and they share pools and a Day Spa. Underneath the Swissotel, there is a massive food area, where we spent a lot of time. It links up to a shopping mall on top. There are a lot of good cafe's and eateries in this food area, and it was so convenient that it was right at our doorstep.

We would definitely stay here again on a visit to Singapore and will happily recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Thank you!

Check-in was done quickly and I was assigned a room fulfilling all my booking criteria.

Bedding was exceptionnal with mattress and soft bed linens of the utmost comfort.

Shower water pressure was very good and no annoying noise came from A/C, pipes or other surrounding rooms.

Housekeeping was done discretely and efficiently.

Amount charged at check out was accurate and ALL ACCOR loyalty points forwarded to my account very quickly.

All the staff I interacted with were well educated with good manners and customer satisfaction oriented.

Hotel location is ideal in the very center of the city with a SMRT train station -City
Hall- linking the Swissotel Stamford to the airport in 30 minutes with one same level platform change.

However, there is little space available in the room to store personnel items and furniture with large drawers would have been welcomed.

I come to Singapore a couple of times each year for business and used to stay in nearby deluxe hotels.

After this great stay, the Swissotel Stamford Singapore is going to be my favorite place to stay should it maintains its high standards.

We loved staying here purely for the room itself. It was so spacious and had a great modern bathroom and super comfortable bed. Loved the little gifts left in our room!
There is a self check in system at this hotel but don’t let that scare you off. Staff are on hand and readily come to assist with this process which is really simple. Staff here were great in the fact that they let us check in early and took our bags to our room for us. Even better, they took care of our bags on our last day after check out so we could explore Singapore as our flight didn’t leave until late that night. They even gave us access to a special hospitality suite upon our return to the hotel at around 7pm that evening to collect our bags so that we could shower before our long flight home. It is those little things that we will remember and come back and stay again for!
We stopped short of giving 5 stars only for a very minor reason.....when booking this room months in advance, we did pay a little extra for the nicer room and also requested at that time the best view possible as it was our honeymoon. Clearly the best view in Singapore is that of Marina Bay etc which is one thing this hotel is known for however we were put on the opposite side of the building. Still not the worst view by any means but was a little disappointed in that we thought by advising that it was our honeymoon well in advance they may have picked the better view for us. Nonetheless we still loved it and would go back again for sure.
