Goodwood Park Hotel is often described as a home away from home, offering a culturally rich atmosphere and traditionally decorated rooms that exude serenity. While opinions on value vary, with some guests praising the affordability and others pointing out pricey services, the hotel's location earns unanimous acclaim for its convenience to shopping and dining hotspots.
Guests commend the cleanliness and professional, friendly service, although some feel room and bathroom maintenance could be enhanced. The spacious rooms are popular, though a few guests suggest they could benefit from modernization.

Hotel's Favourite
I stayed four days at the Goodwood Park Hotel. The rooms are extremely spacious and quite luxurious. The property is truly five star. The food options are vast and delicious. However, where the hotel stands out is in its hospitality. From the moment, I arrived I felt welcomed and taken care of. Nathan was especially caring. I had a small trip coming into the hotel and Nathan was very helpful helping me get back on my feet. Throughout my stay, he continued to check that I was ok. This was incredibly sweet and demonstrative of the general attitude of all the staff at the Goodwood Park Hotel. You are treated like family. I was here on business but when I come back to Singapore, this will be where my family and I will stay.

The cafe service standard has improved alot. Very helpful and accommodating service team during our visit. Cafe Executive - Mr. Raymond Goh has gone the extra mile of cleaning the slippy patch on the floor to avoid slip and fall.
Good team work at the cafe.. and we will be back again

This was our second family stay in the Goodwood Park Hotel (31 July – 2 August). We love to come back here as the price is reasonable and the room is spacious. The hotel offers a resort feel that unlike the any other hotels at the same location. We love the colonial style decoration and furniture where there is so much history and favor in it. Although the hotel is located at the city center, the place is quiet due to its large piece of land occupied.
For the stay, we booked a Mayfair room at the ground floor facing a plants and trees with a good size balcony. This is important as there is no dining out allowed during the tightening phase 2. We ordered our food from the hotel and dined at the balcony so that the food smell won’t stay in the room. It was refreshing when you can enjoy the greenery scenery. Other things that I like about the room is the “Big” TV screen and the choice of using the ceiling fan to allow the natural air to come in. Furthermore, the hotel offers a pillow menu which you could choose different kinds of premium pillows to satisfy your sweet dreams.
We are delighted with the service offered by the hotel staff. They were responsive and always tried to cater for our requests. The staff are friendly, proud of their hotel heritage, and wouldn’t hesitate to bring you around. We have some good chat with the staff working there.
There are also a variety of good foods that you can choose within the hotel. We take advantage of the 20% discount offered for room services. We like the burger and the “Dim Sum” bundle (5 dim sum at price of about $25) offered.
We will definitely come back again!

+1
Was here for a staycation and was going to use the pool and chill. Had a good deal on the Parklane suites, but it was really far away from the main building. Had I known about the Hotel layout, and the Mayfair rooms and pool, I would have made other bookings.
The Parklane suites are far away and because it was raining all weekend we had to walk in the rain via a back route that was really sketchy.
We were told that a buggy could be asked to come get us to and from the building but it would have taken too long to call etc.
The room is old and smells lived in, but it was clean and the kitchen appliances seemed new and easy to use. The washer/dryer had complementary bags of detergent. We joked that it felt like an air bnb overseas, so we could see how this would be a good deal for longer term stays.
We had dinner at Gordon’s Grill and it was a lovely meal with very reasonably priced cuts of steaks that they came table side to cut for us. But the highlight was the table side crepe Suzette and the vanilla ice cream!
We were able to capitalize on the location and went for a quick shopping trip to the malls around even though it was raining, it was easy to get around. Hotel room didn’t have umbrellas but we had brought our own.
On the day of check out, the lobby smelt like paint and we were able to get a later check out time so it was great.
On hindsight, I’d have booked the Mayfair rooms for the smaller pool access and they gyms are located there too.
So I’ve included the map of the hotel grounds for insight for other travels.
Happy explorin’

Some of the facilities (esp. machines in the gym) are old. The main pool is simple but the Mayfair pool is calming. Room space (Deluxe) is comfortable enough to fit 4 and it’s for money.
I am however disappointed with the operator’s service. He seems to have a lack of knowledge on the hotel’s facilities. We called to ask if the hotel provides “bath salt” but he couldn’t understand us, hence we dropped it. Then we asked if we could get an additional soap but we were given shower gel (even though we repeated thrice we wanted bar soap and not shower gel). The most frustrating encounter was when the staff came to our room with the shower gel and claimed “we don’t have that (bar soap)”. So what is provided in the toilet? What do you call that? We had to physically show him the item for him to understand. Lastly, we had the hotel to help us store our tub of ice cream in their freezer. Initially the operator refused to assist us because they claimed that they can’t assist us to keep food due to COVID. Mind you, this is a new tub of unopened ice-cream and the hotel’s fridge isn’t cold enough for us to keep it there. After a tiny argument and the operator finally did her due diligence to check, she agreed to accede to our request. The ordeal was however to get our ice cream back. Operator just simply replied “oh you have to buy” when we said we want to retrieve back our PERSONAL ice cream.
Another tiny note. There are no staff at the pool areas hence if you want towels, search for them yourselves. They’re not difficult to find but I thought we are paying customers.
Service could be a whole lot better and because of that, I’m giving this hotel an average rating.

This hotel is one of the older buildings in Singapore that is still standing. Rich in history, it was the grand dame of its times. It was a real treat staying there, even though just for a night. We booked a staycation there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my spouse's birthday. We booked a slot for their sought-after high tea. The food spread was very delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
The staff were very accommodating and kind. They made us feel very welcomed and also made our young child feel important! They spoke very kindly to him and engaged him in conversation.
Our room was at the Mayfair Wing, overlooking the second (Balinese styled) pool. We had to book a slot for the main pool which was no trouble at all. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Housekeeping was also very prompt to send pillows to our room. The ones there were too soft for us so we had to request for extra. As we were celebrating a birthday, the staff was very lovely in offering to send us a cake, but I requested for a fruit platter instead which they sent!
Breakfast was served a la carte style. The breakfast staff were friendly and also attentive to us. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you to the wonderful staff of the Goodwood Park Hotel. Take care and stay safe!

Have booked this hotel for 1 night staycation for birthday celebration, a bit disappointed with received last minute confirmation email from reservation on a day before check in date. Checked in to this Mayfair room with balcony is a bit dated especially the balcony is dirty! And, i found out the Nescafe Gold sachets are expired on Apr 2021. Informed hotel operator One Touch Service, then housekeeping staff did send few sachets to our room. As requested on email for birthday cake, high floor with view. But, assigned room at level 2 with residence apartment/condo view. Hotel provided a slice of birthday cake promptly sent by room service staff with happy birthday wishes. Next day morning breakfast delivered by room service staff as Singapore is under Phase 2 Heightened Alert, so no dine in is allow as all restaurants are closed. Overall, we have enjoyable stay in Goodwood Park Hotel.

This hotel is just a gem. I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at Goodwood Park. I was in one of the studios and it was quaint whilst being of a good size. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and I was so impressed with how attentive the staff were whilst I was eating, making sure that there was nothing else I needed. From the few conversations I had with staff there it seems it's a family run business, and that there are long standing employees which comes as no surprise- it just has such a welcoming feel. The location is superb and I found that the hygeine in all the public areas was of a very good standard. I have nothing bad to say - I just hope I can stay again soon!

Service staff was very nice in dining area for breakfast and we were able to provide special request to our food if needed. Part of this hotel retains their old staff which makes the service very warm for locals for their great service.
The hotel rooms are a little old for some of the rooms since we prefer bath tub rooms for a staycation feel. Still the hotel managed to give a strong historic experience and a very colonial feel given the rich history.

Our initial booking was for the 'Deluxe Premier Room' which was located on the 2nd level 'Room 169' with a connecting door. The room was fine as we entered for the first 30mins, refurbishment was impressive when compared to the older design. Our room was a connecting room which we had no issues with, however, the connecting room door had little to no sound resistance/proofing; we could hear every single word and sound that is made in the next/connecting room. This is disappointing especially after a significant refurbishment, it only makes practical sense to install a connecting door which is sound proof like a solid wood door/ acoustic sound proof door.
Within 30mins of our occupancy in the room, my wife and I found the noise to be absolutely unbearable and we called the front desk and explained why we are requesting for a new room, the officer kindly accommodated to our request in about 10mins which was satisfactory; but was told that it would no longer be a double bed but a room with 2 single beds. To which we were fine with so long as the room was not a connecting room. About 5 mins later, the extremely friendly and professional porter arrived to help carry our baggage to our new room. When we arrived, we were shocked to find out that the compromise was not just 2 single beds (room 374) but a room which costs cheaper, known as the 'Deluxe Mayfair Room' (we compared the price before booking) and from a consumer's point of view, we are paying more for something that cost less. Furthermore, when informed about the compromise to a room with 2 single beds, we were not told that the room would be a downgrade.
We were about to make another call to the front desk but felt that the staff were already overwhelmed as we were informed earlier that the rooms were at full capacity. So we decided to let it be as the room was quiet and resumed our stay. This is actually the only issue that spoiled our experience at Goodwood Park. The staff were brilliant, however we feel that this is a management issue, not a staff issue. If the connecting door was sound proof, there wouldn't be an issue with the noise, this is already a standard across the industry; especially after the significant refurbishment.
As Goodwood Park markets itself as a five-star hotel, consumers would expect a certain level of variety and quality for its breakfast which is paid for by the guest. The breakfast at the Coffee Lounge is very basic in terms of the quality of food served to its guest which is a disappointment considering this is a Heritage and five-star hotel.
The only positive aspect is the dinner at Gordons Grill, they are consistent with regards to the quality of food and have excellent service, the staff were absolutely professional at their duties.

The rate depends on the room type and dates of stay. I’d recommend checking the hotel website or calling them to ask about specifics.
Did not see any baby sitting services when I was there
Most hotel allows that.
Sorry, for the late reply. I don't think there is one. But the shower is just beside it.
