Furama RiverFront hotel enjoys a central location that many guests appreciate, offering easy access to various attractions and public transport. However, some travelers report rooms to be unclean, cramped, and outdated, with cleaning schedules that don't always meet expectations.

Detailed Reviews
The hotel is modern, in fact ultra modern in its room decor. Our Executive Club room had a glass walled bathroom with separate shower cladded in stone with washbasin in the bedroom. Minimal hanging space suitable for business or overnight visitor. Oversized bed with plenty of space. However, to use the room proved impractical. The hairdryer was sited near the washbasin mirror which had poor lighting and meant standing to dry your hair. This had to be used also to put on make-up and if you didn’t have your own small mirror didn’t assist in getting up close for eyeliner etc. There was a desk and chair but no mirror over it. The lighting was poor, in line with many other corporate style hotels.
Now for the good points. Executive Club entitles you to have a small buffet styled breakfast in its lounge instead of the very busy restaurant. If required a hot choice is also available. During the day tea and coffee is provided free of charge and from 6-8pm cocktails and food is also on offer. All for Executive Club rooms. I’d upgraded from the standard room but from pictures on its website I’d say they were more than adequate but doubt the lighting was much better. The staff in the lounge were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived ahead of our room being ready and I mistakenly thought we could have a light bite for breakfast. Although it was quickly identified that the extra service wasn’t available until we had a room key the staff invited us to take full advantage of the service.
One final comment. It was unfortunate for us that on the last night we had 2 unsolicited lady callers at 2am. How they got to the top floor (19) without being challenged I don’t know. Obviously the incidents were reported the following morning with management apologising and promising to look into the matter. A pity this happened when all in all, despite the impractical room elements, we’d enjoyed our stay. The main strength of this hotel is its staff.
We were there for New Year’s Eve and they put on a party for a very reasonable price with lots of balloons, drink and food. We didn’t partake as we wanted to see the fireworks at Marina Bay but a large screen allowed guests to join in the Count Down. A brilliant bit of marketing.

This place has been great for me and my partner when we decided to spend our days here together to mark our 10th anniversary. Despite being hit with globally affected pandemic, we had faith in this hotel for doing what's necessary to sanitise and keep their environment clean. Precautions were seriously taken into consideration here and everyone in this place were very cautious (awareness level was really high). The room given to us was fantastic and we loved the amenities in it and also not forgetting the facilities set up at the lobby was rare to be seen in many hotels. Staffs were all very accommodating and friendly especially Sanjiv from the reception was very helpful in navigating us. Knowing we came for anniversary, he presented us a cute teddy and that was a legit touch. That gentleman also gave us his personal contact in order for us to keep in touch with him incase we needed some assistance and Sanjiv was very kind and heartwarming towards his guest. (can be seen from the way he treated us). We would certainly come back to this place again hopefully as soon as this Covid-19 is over and surely for one of the best service provided here. Furama and their staffs (specially Sanjiv) would always remain in our heart for treating us like a family.

After leaving the NCL Jade, we arrived (very early) at the hotel and were offered an upgrade for $90 which included a club room, early check-in and late check out as well as 2 hours of free drinks and snacks in the Waterfall lounge. This was an easy decision due to the high cost of drinks in Singapore and was the bargain of this trip. The food was excellent and the drinks were free flowing and included imported bottled cider and lager. The Waterfall lounge is a beautiful place and the waitress’s ensured your glass was never empty, it definitely added extra value. The room upgrade even included a Wi-Fi hotspot to provide uninterrupted internet access across Singapore. All in all a lovely comfortable, friendly hotel close to all amenities.

There is nothing appealing about this hotel apart from it’s location. There are decent bus routes nearby and you can walk to Robertson Quay in under 10 minutes for a wide variety of lovely restaurants and bars. The downsides on the other hand..... Reception staff are rude and the lobby is always full of people complaining, the room we were in had not been renovated (work underway elsewhere in hotel) and had an awful smell, the bathroom flooded with every shower, the shower curtain was dirty, the air conditioning unit leaked, the room had no wall art and was just a white box with a dubious brown carpet. Even the lampshades don’t sit straight! The beds are uncomfortable, breakfast is like a free for all with cheap, tasteless options, the pool is dirty and cold. The only other positive I can think of is that there is a self-service laundry with a washer and dryer which was handy ($8 each). If there had been any other hotels with affordable availability we would have moved. Even our young children found it a depressing place to stay!

Here is why Furama (i.e. Furama Riverfront) is one of the best in town here in Singapore.
1. Join as a FuramaFirst Member, keep booking through and get to Platinum level. The management will certainly take good care of you (i.e. complementary upgrades, early check in and out, etc)
2. Furama Riverfront will continue to improve as they have had in 2019.
3. Go for Club Room / Club Benefits if you want to enhance your stay by a mile (i.e. Breakfast at Lounge, Evening Cocktails, All Day Coffee/Tea/Drinks at Lounge) is worth the bill)
4. The team (i.e. Duty Managers, Reception, Porter, Housekeeping, F&B, etc) will continue to make your stay a miracle, as long as you have patience and report matters to them promptly. Build a relationship with the staff, and many issues (i.e. Room Matters, Food, Checking-In/Out, Reservations, etc) all can be settled during the period of your stay. The management here has the ability to exercise good flexibility when tricky or difficult situations arise, and have the ability to deal with issues.
5. While the hardware is fairly older, the heartware is great. The team running this hotel has a heart for their guests and always seek to make guests feel at home. Nonetheless, the infrastructure and building continues to receive improvements that make the hotel an even better one than yesterday.
6. Furama Riverfront is likely to be the most value for money hotel you can get in Singpapore. For the room space and the price paid, as well as the prime location, Furama is certainly unique in providing stays that one would feel worth the money.
While Furama Riverfront is not a perfect hotel, the secret to be a happy guest here would be to be a member, stay loyal, report issues calmly and with some patience, most problems can be resolved. And if the problem cannot be resolved, be assured that the management will do their best to work something out with you, regardless who you are.
Therefore:
1. Be a FuramaFirst Member
2. Book Direct (i.e. from the Furama website)
3. If able to find a cheaper rate from any other booking site, just email the duty manager (i.e. dutymgr.riverfront@furama.com) or guestservices at guestservices.riverfront@furama.com), show the booking and book over the counter.
4. Not everything is in the hotel, but you may wish to explore the vicinity for other services (i.e. petrol kiosk station with banking facilities and 24/7 open to sell snacks) 5. Request for additional items (i.e. shaver, toiletries, bathrobes, pillow, etc) required.
6. Views may not necessarily be great, but request upon check in, and they can try to provide the best possible (i.e. City instead of Air-Con Unit or Forest view).

Guess doing a staycation this time is tough but it shows how well the hotel management is trying to cope with the quick changing situation. I managed to stay in both a club room and also a family room. The Club Room was on Level 5 which has direct access to the pool and a nice courtyard (other club rooms are on the higher floor), the family room had 2 queen size bed and a bathtub which was great for the kids although the room design is a little dated. They have themed rooms which I think is much better, so will try those rooms next time.
This staycation was actually a birthday celebration for my girl and they were very nice to give a complimentary slice of cake and also some balloons too. Kudos to the team..
As for the Club Lounge at the Waterfall Lounge, very simple canapes and drinks. Staff is very courteous and friendly.
I like the play area near the counters but due to the strict measures, only 5 children are allowed to play, however, some parents don't follow the guidelines which is disappointing. We need to be socially responsible, so when my kids want to join, I had to tell them no as there were too many people there already.
The whole lobby looks very bright and fresh and lots of vending machines are around to provide the essentials if you do not venture out of the hotel.
As for breakfast, there is the usual international buffet but no live egg station. They do have a big children's area to play. This is at Square Restaurant on Level 2. We didn't get to try Kintamani with the kids.
We managed to go into the gym but with the new restrictions, only 2 guests are allowed which I think makes sense. It's a decent size gym with dumbbells and even barbells and exercise mats.
Overall, I had enjoyed myself here with my family since I bought the family package which included 2 hours at Waka Waka (indoor playground in the Annex). didn't go to the pool, but they also had big floats for you to use too.
Kudos to the staff for being on their toes and trying to serve the long queue of customers waiting in line... tough job but well done!

Stepped in the hotel feeling freshed and relaxed as it is beautifully and tastefully renovated. Modern, neat and clean layout with conducive lighting. The check in counters are a breeze including self help check in kiosk. Like the new snacks' machine corner and cafe outlet to chill out. Also much thought on children's playground at ground floor next to reception also in The Square Restaurant. The Waterfall Lounge is an improvement with much natural lights through big area of glass panels. The equipment in the gym were new. Specially mention and applaud the following staff for thir good if not great service. They were friendly, helpful, attentive to details and served with passion and smiles.

We stayed at this hotel for one night en route to Perth, and for a further four nights, when we returned. The lobby/foyer area looks very impressive. Upon our initial arrival, we were told that we had been upgraded to an ‘Executive Suite’ on the 9th floor. We were understandably excited as to what it would be like, however, when we opened the door, we just saw a very tired looking standard room. The only modern feature was a glass sided bathroom/shower/toilet....hardly and executive suite. Upon our return visit, we were allocated a straightforward room, and I asked at check-in for four additional pillows as the beds were so hard. I was assured they would be delivered, but after a couple of hours, still they had not materialised so I had to call reception and complain before they were delivered. The same too when I asked for two additional bath sheets..in the end I asked the cleaning lady who kindly obliged. The rooms and walkways are very tired looking, and a little tatty, as are the net curtains. The prices of drinks at the bar at the far end of the foyer are astronomical, so best you buy drinks from a supermarket, and store in the fridge in your room. Breakfasts were below average. Although a very good selection, most of what should have been served hot, was in fact cold from bacon to scrambled and fried eggs..ghastly. I kept to the fresh fruit, toast and butter and jam/marmalade. I would not stay there again I’m afraid. The rooms need urgent updating/renovation.

3 day stopover at our favourite Singapore hotel. After nearly 2 years it was a great surprise to walk into the new foyer. Gone are the reception desk and shops, replaced by bright white decor, childrens' playground, snack dispenser machines and check-in consoles. All very modern. (Hello Kitty).
The rooms and service are still at a very high level and make for a comfortable stay.
The Waterfall Lounge is still the place for that afternoon or evening drink and snack with great attentive staff. Staying in an Executive Club room provides for a great breakfast and evening drink and snacks in the Lounge. Well worth it.
Had dinner one night at the Indonesian restaurant Kintamani which was very disappointing. They could not find an al-a-carte menu so we chose the buffet and were then told they did not serve any alcohol. (thought we were in Singapore not Dubai). Service and food was very ordinary.

We stayed at Furama Riverfront for 10nights Jan 2020. We chose the executive club room package which included daily Buffett breakfast, all day refreshments, free flow alcoholic spirits and bar nibbles from 6pm-8pm daily and rooms situated between the 17th-19th floors (lovely view). Romel the duty manager and his staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was personalised and enjoyable. The room was clean with comfy beds, speedy wifi & excellent air conditioner. It has a decent gym and the pool is clean and generously sized! And most importantly the food was always tasty. Great value for money.
Honestly couldn’t have been happier with this hotel, sad to leave. Thank you.

Definitely taxi, especially if it is for four people. Quickest and easiest. There is a train station a few minutes walk from the hotel but with bags etc, we opted for the taxi. It was about 37 Singapore dollars I think. Worth it I thought. Plus we got a lot of good advice from the taxi driver.
Yes it does have steps
I was there March 2024 and the replaced our towels every second day.
they do.. but their hospitality is terrible.. i would suggest u to go any hotel other than Furamariver front
Furama riverfront will be the best. The have a mini indoor playground for your kids to play
