Wink hostel was my second experience to stay after a horrible experience in another hostel. I stayed there for 16 days. I liked the service, breakfast, and environment, pods. It was so comfy to stay there. But I didn't like the way how people put their foot wear or shoes in the rooms. It was rainy day so there was...

Context- This review is written from the perspective of a couple who have lived and worked in Asia for two years. We tend to travel budget (and will not post a negative review if a place does not come with free soap, for example), but a small level above ‘backpacker’. The reviews are written with varying degrees of hindsight, so...

I have reviewed this property before and given it high marks, however lately they have added some features and upgrades that compels me to post another review... Its not only the friendly atmosphere and competent and friendly staff only, or the fact that this is the friendliest of all Hostel+ in Singapore, but now each pod has been equipped with...

First off I have to say the pod design is amazing and I wish more hostels were designed this way - more privacy and convenience than any hostel I've stayed in for years. The swipe card lights up your pod when you enter, you can lock and unlock your (amply large) storage locker with the same card, and the pods...

Had a great 3 night stay here in March in route into SE Asia, very clean, comortable beds and good wifi, simple breakfast like most hostels. Staff very helpful and friendly, and great location in Chinatown. Price is a little high compared to the rest of Asia but I think that's more Singapore than the hostel itself...

This is the second time I've stayed at Wink Hostel and if I ever returned to Singapore, I'd happily stay there again. The hostel is located just a short walk away from the Chinatown metro station which makes it super easy to access all the major sights around Singapore. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly and overall, I found the hostel...

Wink hostel happened to be one of the best hostels I ever stayed. Although it is not the cheapest hostel available, it is worth the price. It is really clean, with good facilities (several showers and toilets), private bed (kind of a capsule bed where you have a curtain to get some privacy) with your own light and electricity plug,...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
