Pros: Near MRT, simple breakfast, water dispenser Cons: Dirty bedsheet, smelly bathroom, broke iron, flat pillow, requested for female dorm but there's a man entering the dorm in the middle of the night 😒

The location is very good and safe. The dorm room was small, but the bed was comfortable. I stayed there for one night ( altogether in Singapore ), for a few nights it is a good choice. There are a plenty of choices if you want to eat, or shop or just to walk around the city.

- I took a private room for 2 people : No window, no space, looked like a prison cell, one shower for the all floor... Bearable for 2 days but the price was too expensive 85 euros the night for 2 people. The breakfast was okay I guess if you don't need much. In conclusion too expensive and not even...

The room was very hot, aircon barely worked. Very small rooms as well, alsmost no space to put your luggage. There aren't a lot of showers, there's always somebody showering when you get there. The hostel is very noisy. From our room you could hear everybody showering. From rooms next to the outside breakfast area you get woken up by...

The best part is the location. It's just a few steps away from the Chinatown MRT station, like literally a few steps. Once you get out of the station, you can already see the black colored building on your way out. and it's actually just in the middle of the energetic busy and crazy beautiful Chinatown. I loved every minute...

Location is good. Don't put high expectations for the room and bedding. Tiny. But it was good enough for a night's sleep. Plus point is they provide a smartphone on loan to use, free data. Overall experience was good. Reception was polite and friendly too.

Stayed for two nights. The first night I was in the attic room where the beds are all separate ( no bunk beds). This was a good room. The second night I had to move to bunk bed dorm. The room was so tiny and was for 6 people. However two couples were able to rent one bed each, so...

It is not difficult to find this hostel, just few steps in right-hand side when you leave Chinatown MRT Station escalator. The price can't be friendly more! The staffs are so pleasant and helpful. This hostel is close to Chinatown Heritage Centre, food outlets and souvenir outlets with affordable price tags. Cannot wait for my second chance to stay here...

We traveled to Singapore with my brother's family on December 26-31, 2016 and stayed here. We arrived at an unholy hour and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that reception is open 24 hours. Although the rooms are bare ( no TV, phone), these are very clean. The bathrooms are also kept clean 24 hours. WIFI is excellent. Staff...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
