This is easily accessible from the Purple Line's Farrer Park Station. Follow Ali's directions and go to Exit F. You should probably get the access code for the auto-lock door in front that serves as the gate so that you can come in just in case he isn't able to accommodate you by the time you arrive. It's very easy...

at the MRT station with girl friend and luggage... phone in one hand while reloading my MRT card with the other! googled guest houses in Singapore and came across 'Ali's Nest'. Arrived, met a very friendly and nice lady, and we were settled in our room within 10 mins. The room had a bunk bed which my girl friend didn't...

Basic, friendly and great price and location. I have met many wonderful travellers here over the decades and the private rooms, small as they are work well enough in a pricy city, give it a go, Trnsport and food and cheap alley way beers are all close at hand.

We come to Ali/s Nest after a long and tired day travelling with lot of issues. He was very friendly, his place is a real NEST, where everybody left his best wishes and messages to him and the memories built there. It was a relief to stay here. I immediately receive a warm welcome from Ali, with coffee, tea, ready...

It is probably the cheapest accomodaton in Singapore, but I really enjoyed it. Location is excellent - literally two minutes to the metro station. Room is small and very simple, but in mine there was AC and a very strong wifi. I did not have any problems with sleep. In the common area (sort of living room) you can meet...

Although this place is rather expensive (if you have been staying in rooms for £7 on your travels), Ali is very accommodating. On our arrival he helped us plan our trips to the zoo, botanical gardens, Clark quey, Chinatown and Orchard road. Situated in Little India and a 2 min walk to the MRT, the homestay is in a good...

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
