It is quirky and small which you may like but it lead to some real issues for us. Initially taxi driver couldn't even find it - they really need a sign that sticks out into the street. No one to help with bags but check in was OK other than no you can't have late checkout this is not a...

We stayed in the whimsical space room, and the friendly staff decorated our room with flower petals knowing it was our anniversary. How sweet! The room was perfectly clean, with a really nice ambience from the black walls and starlight. Room comes with a smartphone for loan, helps you with your travel planning and commuting. Quite a number of eating...

This was a great introduction to Singapore. Was really close to the train station, and right in the heart of Little India. A great location to begin exploring, and reference point for hotels. The room I stayed in was super quirky and cool. The details of the hotel made this stay go from good to excellent--the complimentary drinks/espresso in the...

We stayed in the treehouse room. We arrived very early, and was greeted by a very friendly staff member who helped us feel relaxed and comfortable after our long haul flight. The reception have great information. A special mention to the front desk staff who wrote a beautiful happy birthday postcard for my partners bday! The room was small but...

I was really looking forward to enjoying the Wanderlust hotel, and to be fair, at times I did. Check in was smooth enough. I had to make my booking in two blocks as my trip got extended, and for some reason changing my booking increased the nightly rate but separate bookings didnt. I did have to explain to the check...

I actually saw this hotel featured in a CNN article and I told myself if I ever go to Singapore I am most definitely staying here! I finally went a couple of weeks ago and I booked here for one night just because I promised myself! In the heart of Little India! Great location and you can literally walk around...

Location is near bugis and little india. The street felt a little bit dodgy. Was surprised by the exterior of the hotel. The interior though was much better the exterior. Going for the unique antique feel. First thing you see when you enter is the foosball table which you can play for free. Staff was friendly and informative. Booked a...

Attracted by the funky styling of the rooms, I had booked one to stay with my girlfriend on my birthday. While the room itself was pleasant, my overall experience was distasteful. Had friends join for dinner at the restaurant on level one, cocotte. They came up to see the interesting room for 5 minutes and we all left together for...

Dear Wei Hua T, Thank you for taking time to share your experience following your stay with us. We regret to learn that the stay you had was so far from one which we would intend for any of our guests. I understand that the frontdesk were instructed to arrange for a wakeup call to your room in the morning....

Whimsical room was lovely, but stairs were quite steep. While the breakfast options were limited, and this was made up by the quality of the food. Ropm prices were not cheap as compared to other luxury hotels in town, perhaps even more expensive.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wanderlust in Little India draws madcap, curious voyagers to the old ethnic enclave. Made for guests with a sense of adventure, we invite you to walk the unconventional path where a radical hotel experience awaits. Its history began in the 1920s as the Hong Wen School, where the building at No 2 Dickson Road still retains its old-world charm with an unchanged façade. Situated 10 minutes from the cosmopolitan stretches of Orchard Road and the Central Business District; Wanderlust also offers door step access to a bustling, colourful street life. The four storey boutique hotel has 29 rooms. Just as no 2 rooms are identical, the same can be said for each floor in the hotel. It features the groundbreaking works of award-winning Singapore design agencies. Each agency was given full creative freedom to design an entire level in the hotel, resulting in four, different ‘in-your-face’ themes – ‘Industrial Glam’, ‘Eccentricity’, ‘Is It Just Black and White?‘ and ’Creature Comforts.’ ... more   less
