We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and chose the hotel due to reviews we had read on here! Big mistake - yes we knew it would be small but that does not prepare you for the room that you will encounter. We travelled with 2 suitcases which we could not fit into the room at all. There was...

This was a last minute booking and was almost half the price to book on the internet as they had posted in the lobby. Clean quiet with no TV. Can't expect too much for the price. shower was great no complaints. For a stopover trip where I won't spend much time in the room this is great. Plenty of restaurants...

I selected this hotel because of it's proximity to the business I had to attend to. As I was out from morning till night, I didn't want to spend too much on my hotel and this hotel rate suited my budget (SGD90 p/night). After reading trip advisor's reviews, I knew what to expect so I was not surprised to see...

I stayed here for just a night because it's near airport. Too bad, if I know that it's this good, I might have selected to stay here since day 1 that we were here. Location is no problem for me. We can always take taxi to places. Nearby are many restaurants, all looks good, too bad, we have no time...

My mom and I were put in a standard room with a double bed. The room was quite small and did not have any chairs to sit on which was quite frustrating. Also, the air conditioning wasnt very powerful hence my sleep wasnt as comfortable as it should have been. The room does have a slight musky smell, probably due...

The Single Room was rather tight, but I really didn't mind because everything else was perfect. Definitely an A with cleanliness and hygiene. Toilet, carpet and sheets were almost pristine in condition. Plenty of food and pubs downstairs and along the street. The famous Beach Road Prawn Mee down the road is a must-try. Moving around is pretty easy too...

Staying in Joo Chiat

Neighbourhood Profile
Joo Chiat
The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighbourhood is packed with colourful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding. Visit Joo Chiat to take a break from the big city sights and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a laid-back and local vibe.
