Stayed 3 nights in the Quay Hotel and the only thing I can recommend about the place is the location! The place is scruffy, smelly and noisy! The room was basic , carpet was stained and on inspection, we discovered the mattress was dirty and covered in hairs! We had a room at the front of the hotel and it was like trying to sleep in a bus terminal ,as they ran incessantly through the day and into the early hours! Do not stay here ! There are far better places!
The hotel is situated on a main road and as a result was very noisy at night. There is a bus stop outside which ran very late. Then there were the bin lorries which made even more noise. The room was reasonably capacious but there had been a water leak at sometime which resulted in stains on the walls. The bed seemed fairly clean but as soon as you looked at the mattress you wondered if anyone had cleaned the room. I have stayed in worse hotels but this was grim by any standard and nowhere near the level I would expect considering what we had paid. Basically if you had crossed the river Styx this is what you might have expected.
Very nice Location, nearby center, Mrt are accessible with Bus Station to Universal in front of the Hotel, very smooth checknin/out and the staff are friendly and accomodating, Easy to navigate with small children, with 7 eleven next to the hotel.. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to SG..
The room is small but new and clear (just 1 room’s got some trash in every drawers). Not quite helpful reception staff during daytime but the big guy at night shift is ok. The check out time is 11 not 12 and not negotiable. Bed here is nice but the pillow which they’ve got just 1 type, is the worst hotel pillow ever.
The name is rather confusing and people do get confused with Robertson Quay Hotel. The hotel main entrance is a bus stop and all taxis and grab cars have to stop across the road to disembark and embark passengers. The rooms with window, which I had one, are noisy because of the vibrant nightlife around it. If you want a sound-proof, “premium room”, it is without window. Room itself is poorly designed but clean though. Hardly any walking space between the TV and the bed. The TV does not work. Guess the remote control ran out of battery. The kettle had such a short cable that it cannot be plugged even to the nearest power point provided. Amazing but it is true, unfortunately. Not the place to stay unless you like the night life and just want a place to recover from a hangover!
I'm here for the grand prix weekend. The hotel was reasonably priced compared to the other hotels around it. It's quite close to the track, just a couple of stations away via MRT. lots of restaurants nearby! The room itself wasn't super fancy BUT it was clean, the sheets were fresh and the beds were comfortable. And honestly thats absolutely fine with me.
Stayed here for 2 nights on a stopover in Singapore. Hotel is on a busy road and looks dingy from outside. Room was tiny but clean but I wish we had spent a bit more for a better hotel! It was convenient for Chinatown and Boat Quay restaurants.
Singapore hotels are expensive! This was the cheapest in the area and absolutely perfect for 1 night in the city. We knew we just needed a hotel room for the night somewhere and this was walking distance from the MRT & Clarke Quay. Good choice if you need a hotel for this purpose in Singapore.
The hotel was located very near the Central Mall of Clarke Quay, and there's a bus stop right infront of the hotel so transportation is very easy in the area. The location is the best as the neighborhood along the street and around the area of the hotel has top notch bars, it's a different sight at night. Check in and check out was very quick as well. The room assigned to us was small but it was clean, spotless, had all the basic amenities with free 2 cans of 100 plus Soda which was a great addition to the hot weather of SG. The toilet and bath was clean as well. Love how well lit the room is and with so many outlets and charging stations. Thanks for a great stay!
Club thumping music all night. This was a Monday night. Music went pass 2 am and hours into Tuesday morning. Ear plugs didn’t help. TV on didn’t help. The bass could be felt in the room, in the bed. Called to change rooms but they said sold out. No options in to leave hotel at 3 am.
