Right behind the Little India MRT station on Kerbau Rd., this Sino-Portuguese style building offers air con rooms and hot water showers for $50 US per night. It is just 2 stops from Clark Quay and 3 from Chinatown and Orchard Rd stations, the latter via Dhoby Ghaut Interchange. Indian food at budget and middle price ranges just steps away....

Very small room, smoke from the kitchen entered our room through the exhaust vent.no one in the hotel helped.we had to close it with towels! no friendly staff.you should look at their faces during check out.you will not be treated properly if you are from India! Good location in Little India. Very basic room condition and amenities. Sleazy scenes at night around the hotel. Reception people should be more friendly than this. Room was Ok. No stains, no smell. Toilets had stains on the sides

We stayed here in August 2013 for 3 nights during a trip around Asia. After arriving in Singapore without a reservation and our first and second choices were full, we were at first pleased to find room here. A good location in Little India and ideally suited to explore Singapore, the room was over priced for what we had experienced...

I've read the negative reviews here and though I understand them, I don't share that attitude. I've been going to the Kerbau Hotel for years and they have always been able to accommodate me. There are no windows in some of the rooms, true enough, but they keep the place clean, the management is friendly and helpful, and it has...

as said, the hotel is bad, the room condition is very average and bathroom fittings are very bad, tough its in a good locality in Singapore, i would strongly recommend decent families/couples not to stay in this hotel. After 11 pm, the hotel is surrounded by unwanted elements which doesn't suit for decent people. please take off this hotel from...

My husband and I had a hard time finding decent budget accommodations in Singapore. We wanted a place that was near an MRT station and was not a dorm. This place was okay. It was easy walking distance to the MRT and Little India. Our room was small and did not have any windows so it felt a little claustrophobic...

Its was great experiance during the chrismas season. The lady and the guy who is in the reception counter is very friendly. And the room we stayed (two of us) cost about Sing $ 70 which is affordable for a budget person who is travelling. The room was clean and had a attached bathroom, wardrobe, dressing table etc etc with...

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
