I stayed a weekend over at W Singapore in their Marvellous Suite. This stayover was planned because I want to use this chance to propose to my girlfriend. After booking over Expedia and dropping a note to the hotel over Expedia, the hotel had reached out to me.

Our stay was amazing, the room was very clean and spacious. The front desk staff were very professional and quick to address concerns when there were many customers who checked in. When we could not check in early, they help prepared cards for us to use the facilities in the hotel first. The breakfast spread and food was fantastic, the room service food came in generous proportions and was delicious. The best part of this whole trip was the service we received from the staff. Be it the front desk, room service, cleaning services, concierge or the staff at the facilities, everyone was so cheerful and it brightened our stay. Also, special shout out to the employee that helped me for the proposal.

The employee that helped me was Peizhen, she was so professional and amazing. She was willing to go out of the way to host me before my actual stay and arranged for me to look at the suite I was going to stay in. I could then use the chance to plan for the decor in the room and she was so accommodating to my every last minute requests. During the actual day, she was very helpful in receiving my fiancé and keeping the whole surprise under wraps from my fiancé. She helped received my family who was coming in to help with the set up and she gave so much help during the actual proposal set-up - having to deal with last minute requests from my sister as well! Thank you so much Peizhen! You were amazing and helped so much from start till end, we really appreciated it!

My husband took me on a birthday staycation at the W Hotel! The staff were popping up with birthday surprises throughout our stay. We had the hi-tea set at Woobar (the savory snacks were lovely, the sweet desserts were nice but it was too much and we ended up not being able to finish a lot of it).

At dinner, we were also given a slice of cake to celebrate my birthday! We didn't tell them. We figured out that Front Desk had informed them and it felt like the service was seamless.

During turn-down service, housekeeping came and transformed our room into something different from when we checked in! They added pillows with the word "LOVE", dimmed down the lights and presented me with a birthday cake, a box of chocolates and balloons. It was so much fun!

We had such a wonderful time enjoying the hotel's services that we look forward to our next visit there again. A huge thanks to the fantastic staff at the W Hotel. You guys are amazing!

We recently took a 2 night staycation at W Sentosa to celebrate a special occasion and to try and create some holiday sensation amidst the prolonged travel restrictions. We selected an Away room so that we had a private plunge pool as the main pool is restricted to 2 hour booking window due to safe distancing requirements. When we arrived, there was a long queue to check in, but it was quickly and efficiently dealt with by the staff on the desks. The Away rooms are tucked away in a separate part of the hotel, so we were shown the way by the very helpful Rajes. We were surprised and delighted to see that our room had been decorated with balloons to mark our celebration, and a complimentary cake was delivered soon after, which was way above and beyond our expectations.
Unfortunately, we found a couple of glasses at the poolside that had not been cleared from the previous guests, but they were quickly removed by housekeeping and we were given a bottle of wine as an apology, which was a nice touch.
The breakfast is a la carte buffet, and again is only available at pre-booked time slots at this time, which the best timing (8:15 - 9:45 I think) was already booked up for the first day of our stay. Nevertheless, the breakfast itself was excellent and the service staff were attentive and full of energy!
We ate dinner in Skirt restaurant, where the steak was very good, and our waitress Anna was also very friendly and accommodative.
Overall, we achieved our aim of escaping everyday Singapore life and our stay was made all the better by the helpful, professional and cheerful staff at the W Sentosa. Finally, a very special thanks to Calista, W Hong Kong Insider (our usual HK hotel of choice) for the collaboration with Rajes and the Singapore team for arranging our surprise welcome and making our stay a truly special one.

This is our 3rd visit to W hotel in the last 5 months for staycation. Since we are avid travellers and are now unable to travel due to restrictions arising from the COVID pandemic, we decided to go for staycation in our home country when we wanted a break from our daily routine or to celebrate an occasion such birthdays

We always had a very enjoyable and relaxing time in W Hotel. The staff was always very helpful and pleasant. On our last visit on 15 Feb 21, we were served by Vijay at the check-in reception and he ensured that our requests upon booking were met. We noted that the hotel practised good hygiene measures ensuring that the reception was sanitised after every guest was checked in and we were given masks and a
bottle of sanitiser. Safe distancing and capacity rules were followed.

Breakfast had a wide selection and was served individually to guests. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food at the Skirt grill & restaurant was superb and reasonable. The staff at Skirt was very attentive and knowledgeable. Kudos to Maran for recommending a good bottle of Bordeaux wine and especially to Mae who gave us superb service throughout the meal even though the restaurant was understaffed, a common problem in Singapore. We would also like to thank the very hardworking young lady from Nepal ( afraid we didn’t ask for her name) who is very hardworking and very attentive to customer’s needs.

W Hotel is our go to place for relaxation and we will definitely visit it again.

Stayed for two nights for a retreat. The hotel premises (almost everywhere!!) gives a consistently hippy feel, an eclectic atmosphere. You feel quite happy just walking around and admiring the decor. Free parking provided, which is nice.

One thing I noticed, rather unusually, is the generous offering of bottled water in the hotel rooms and the conference/ballroom. That’s really lovely.

Another thing that I was particularly impressed was the strong and free wifi which was exceedingly easy to access. You don’t need ANY password! The reach of the wifi extends to the nearby eateries.

Apart from the water, I must also give compliments on the room amenities - except their toothbrush which was firm/hard (I used my own toothbrush…). The aroma of the body lotion was fantastic, calming, memorable. Bed linen was soft to skin, and so were the towels. I liked the docking station for my iPhone (it could also work on other phones) with free songs (just scan the code provided).

The one thing that really got on our nerves was the chaotic breakfast. It was a Tuesday, and the hotel should have known that there was a massive retreat going on and that it starts at 9am. (Ok, if they read this review and claim they don’t know, that’s even worse!!) We rushed to the restaurant after our yoga at 815am and Lo and behold there was a long queue, which took ages to move. The hotel could have anticipated this crowd and simply opened the Skirt restaurant to cope with this traffic. Besides, they were offering semi-ala carte buffet (which was nice, btw), so using another premises for eating should have been fine. I had told myself to deduct one star for this, while waiting in queue with other angry customers. Out of fear of repeating history, we skipped yoga the next morning just to arrive specially early for the breakfast. This is so DUMB, come to think of it.

We had hosted our wedding at W Hotel and attended by our wedding coordinator, Jess. She had accommodated to most of our requests and assisted us throughout the wedding planning process.

During the wedding, we were served by a team of very professional staffs (Matnor, Wai Meng, Hisham and May Low). Matnor has been constantly updating us on the situation of the event and making sure that all things goes well through out the event until we were all the way back in our room. Wai Meng was very very meticulous and attentive in helping me out the entire reception with my gown and also making sure that we had water to drink.

Our guests had also told us that the food served during our wedding was really delicious and filling 😋

After the event, we had our bridal suite stay with W Hotel with complimentary breakfast at The Kitchen Table and the food there are really awesome. We event went back there for our dinner with our friends and all the food served are amazing!

Wai meng remembered us and continued to serve us whole-heartedly throughout our meals there. She was recommending to their signature dishes and all the food came was really yummy! Our entire time at the W hotel was perfect! We would definitely go back there again without a doubt! 😁

We just visited and returned from W hotel where my hubby booked a two night stay at for me and the kids to celebrate my birthday.

In so many areas W really checked the Excellent check box.
1) Attentive front desk check in staff & personalised service
When hubby was checking in at the front desk, the lady noticed my ID and asked if we were celebrating a bday so informed hubby that they would arrange for something to be sent to the room. Later on they came with balloons and a small lil cake. A really lovely and memorable gesture.

2) Efficient housekeeping
We usually head out for our day outs in the mornings and return in the afternoon for the children’s naps, so when we saw the chamber lady in the hallway when heading out, we requested for her to housekeep the room. We were out for breakfast and back within an hour to grab some stuff before heading out and the room was already done. Later in the day, we headed out for dinner and there was another round of housekeeping again. I have to say that we have stayed at numerous hotels but W has got to be the most efficient and prompt w their housekeeping. It’s really first class feel bcos with young kids in the room, the twice-a-day housekeeping is indeed helpful and luxurious.

3) Family friendly
They also included a nice treat for lil kids where ice cream treats were given out to kids at 4-6pm daily. You can imagine how happy the kids were.
4) Well staffed, hygiene and clean
In so many areas there was always an available service staff ready to help. Room was clean and hygienic and so was the pool side service.

I do have to say that I was quite a lil tempted to check 4 instead of 5 star bcos on our last day here, it was the first time we experienced bad service. We went to the pool forgetting our masks. And when we reached, the service staff, instead of perhaps just asking for us to put on our masks, he interrogated us with a “Wheres your masks?”. We said that we had forgotten and he told us abt the rules of masks wearing everywhere except pool side , and then went on to mention that we came down without our masks the day before as well (which we did not). It wasn’t abt the insistence of having us put on our masks, (that I understand, it was our mistake of forgetting), but we felt that it didn’t require that tonality that he took on with us and we certainly did not appreciate the accusation that he made of us saying that we came down without our masks the day before. All in all, I get that he had to do his job of policing the regulations as it’s part of law, but it wasn’t like we put up a fight and he had to get tough with us, so perhaps he didn’t need to talk down to us as though we were kids.

Aside from this unfortunate unpleasant last day experience (which made me wish that we didn’t visit the pool on the last day , that way I would have left the hotel finding it absolutely flawless and impeccable), everything else exceeded expectations.

So aside from that one hiccup, I’d like to say a big thank you for everything else at W hotel. And hope that your guys keep up the great service, in those areas done well.

Brought my family there for a staycation last weekend for 2 nights. Booked a room with 2 breakfasts online, and purchased another 2 breakfasts upon check-in. First morning, went to Kitchen Table for breakfast which I already paid for. After an hour, we only got 2 out of 4 orders (and many items they failed to bring were pre-cooked stuff like smoked salmon, yoghurt, and fruit). We were so fed up and famished we left. Told the front desk to cancel breakfast for next day, which they agreed. When I checked out, they promptly charged me for all the breakfasts. When I asked to see the GM, they told me there was a note against my reservation that the GM was supposed to contact me to apologise. Needless to say, she/he never did. After much fuss and waiting, they took off the charge for the additional breakfast but claimed they could not give any partial refund of breakfast booked through the room booking. They brought out the F&B manager who promised to contact me about a meal at Skirt for 2 to compensate. I agreed. Guess what? After I paid the bill and left the hotel, I never heard from them again. A memorable stay indeed....

My review is based on my personal experience and many others may have had different experiences. On this, my second stay with W Sentosa, it was even more disappointing than the first. I will not go into details except to say that internal communications between the reservations, front desk and style teams ultimately had a ripple effect that reverberated throughout our stay. Made for a rather unpleasant experience. Marriott has completely ruined the former Starwood portfolio. It’s effects can be seen in some properties, unfortunately this is just one of them. The staff at breakfast and housekeeping are amazing and so helpful. Props to Sheila and the breakfast crew who are extremely friendly, personable and attentive, you made the stay for my folks and I so pleasant. Housekeeping was always friendly and did such a great job of balancing privacy and their duties. Unfortunately the tone of a stay is set by the very first interaction and it’s clear that this property has huge gaps in their internal communication. Arrogant staff at check in who try to school you, which is not only insulting but disrespectful. Owners CDL, please try to understand the brand you acquired. There’s a certain expectation. of what the W Hotel is, the values and experience gusts have come to expect. Having stayed at many a W around the region and the US, I would say a distinct culture and a lack of soul is missing from this property. It does come across a bit try hard and frankly bordering on arrogant. I would like to highlight through that a positive change may be around the corner with a very attentive new director or operations. Robert was not only extremely interested but was also very attentive, he was a joy and relief for speak to after a series of unfortunate events happened. His passion for service and the W standards are obvious, observed over a two day period how he was hands on and worked alongside staff to understand the guest experience, speak to guests personally and even support his breakfast crew. I had observed his dedication from breakfast till ways past dinner time. I have no doubt under his leadership, we’ll see a turnaround. He’s not even the GM but definitely reminds me of one of my favorite hootel GM’s under the group.Will I stay here again? Very unlikely but I believe in Robert’s leadership and am sure in time, this will be a very different property experience wise.
Of you’ve read this far, my summary is, it’s a very slick hotel, so if you wanna’ party it up and have pics from the gram, go for it. If it is for leisure, you’re better off with other options until Robert has had time to work his magic and transform the mindsets and attitudes of the rooms dept.

My partner and I stayed here in the beginning of August and is our third visit. We have given this hotel a few chances but I feel there are some serious changes that need to be made.
We are titanium members and did not feel very appreciated.
As part of a perk, you received 1 drink card per person, per day during the duration of your stay (instead of 2 hour daily free-flow drinks). I completely understand the reason for the change due to the new guidelines. However, we had to remind the staff everyday to bring our drink cards to our room. We decided to order a red wine, however we were informed that the hotel ran out.
Also, when we wanted to order in-room dining, they informed us they ran out of pizza (which was what we specifically wanted).
I find it very shocking that a hotel can run out of food or drinks to guests and then not offering alternatives.
Luckily, we had an AWAY room and did not use the main pool. The AWAY rooms are very nice and private. These rooms are the reason we come to the W.
When walking by the main pool, it did not look well organized when I see paying guests having to put their beach towel in the grass.
The breakfast was tasty but it is a little hard to enjoy it when you see stressed out employees running back and forth and the guests around you complaining about not getting their tea/coffee/food order for 30+ minutes. Also, when asking for smoked salmon and avocado slices, I was told once again they ran out. However, 10 min later I see other tables receiving avocado and smoked salmon.
There was a gentleman in a suit at breakfast saying good morning to everyone, which is nice. But I feel he should help out his guests and stressed-out employees instead of just saying “good morning” to everyone.
Seeing the skyrocketing prices for a simple room at the W, I would expect to have even better service than before to guests. They should be grateful for every guest willing to stay at a hotel during this crisis.

Its best to email them on room configuration directly. Not sure i they have any higher category rooms apart from the Fabulous rooms. However the ropm that i was staying in comes with a balcony.
