I booked our room June 11th 2018 online Sararosa International Hotel because the room look good from the pictures. My reservation was a super grand deluxe double. We arrive around 10:30 pm and we were all very tired. We got into room #930 and found a cockroach. I called the front desk and told the clerk on the phone my son killed a cockroach. I also told her my son was ready for a shower and a handle came off in his hand. Their maintenance person came and tried to fix it, but he said we needed to change rooms. Housekeeping showed up with spray insecticide and I told him I don't want him to spray the room, but he said it was odorless. I told him the room was filthy, the chair had big nasty stains, and the sheets and the carpet were dirty, and I'm itching all over. The housekeeping person called the front desk to move us because the maintenance person couldn't fix the shower handle. I asked that since it's very late can they move us to a better room as a good gesture upgrade, but they offer me their suite for 8,500.00 pesos. I said no; if we changed rooms early I would have said yes so we can enjoy the room. They moved us to another room and it was worse. The carpet was filthy ( I found a toothpick on the floor), the TV was an old Sanyo, on the bed there's no bed pad only one sheet and a thorn, there's no hot water, and the room smells bad. I told my husband that I booked a super deluxe room and this not was not the room I saw in pictures when I booked the room. So I decided to go another hotel. When I got to the front desk to check out they told me they couldn't refund my money. I talked to the front desk manager and asked why I was given a room that was nasty(described above). I felt like they just wanted me to pay extra for the upgrade suite, which is not worth it. I told him I would tell all the people and all my friends not to stay because your hotel was nasty and filthy. PS-We were told by some of the staff that they received many complaints about the hotel, such as there is never hot water, etc.... I tried to contact the hotel the next day and wanted to talk the General manager and they told me he is not there.
