We have booked this hotel knowing that this will be another excellent experience for our family since we have been regular guests for years. As always, the welcoming team with June at its lead were very quick to register us and take care of all formalities. The welcoming cool towels and drinks are always such a great touch on arrival at Mandarin! We had a poolside room as well as the pool view room on the second floor - and both were excellent. The amenities are consistently great. Always good to have access to beach/pool towels, we actually used umbrellas on this trip as we had some rain. For years we always preferred the poolside rooms - kids always enjoyed their time in the water. However, this time; I did appreciate the balcony at the pool view room as it offers you a bit of privacy if you want to just enjoy some outside moments without all the comings at goings at the pool. I am thinking that next time, we will just all stay in the upstairs rooms. Really enjoyed our meals at Don Vito - us being vegetarian, the staff quickly adjusted their breakfast menu to include some of our favorite vegetarian dishes. Grace and Joyce were a couple of individuals who took extra care to deliver outstanding service for the whole family and royally spoil us! It was good to see so many of the same staff who have been there for years, which suggests that their experience with the hotel has been positive as they continue to deliver the same outstanding level of service. Despite the owner not being on the premises, the staff go above and beyond to ensure the guests have a great experience. Israel is another staff member who to us is the definition of hospitality - he took care and anticipated all our needs. We were celebrating a birthday on this trip and I think every staff member we saw on that day shared a birthday greeting. Additionally, during the meal, a cake with candles and a personalized greeting was presented unexpectedly with Birthday song played. Certainly was a very meaningful gesture. Great musicians at the restaurant during the day. I was not as impressed with the evening offerings, but that just may be my taste in music. Congrats again to this hotel, and we will definitely be back. PS I hear they are expanding with two additional properties which we have NOT tried.

Stayed for 3D/2N. The staffs were accommodating and attentive to what we need. Had our fresh cucumber lemon juice and cold towels as their way of welcoming us. Me and my husband enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 2 nights . The first impression when we walked in to the reservation desk for check in immediately changed my expectation down graded from a 4/5 star hotel to 1 star hotel. This is very an unsual thing for the 5 or even 4 star hotel that we managed to stay before, which a reservation staff at the check in station had to read for me all of the term and condition for the expenses you will pay if ever you broke the regulation or any damage incurred during your stay. As well as check out time was taking a time just to check if any loss or damage incurred maybe (just came into my mind because of the first impression). Location wise was good in the midst of the crowd. Room wise was spacious, good linen and amenities. Strong water pressure shower with good hot water. Good TV cable netflix. However, even the taste was good but the breakfast was very average in variety if you consider this is a 4/5 star hotel.

Right on the white sands beach at station 2. Everything is around this hotel. Great surveyed pool, good for all age. Great service by very attentive staff. Breakfast at good level with correct coffee which is rare in Phili. Good cuisine at the restaurant with the new chief. Restaurant manager, also new, is very close to customers needs and requests. Chose premier room or 1 of the 2 amazing suites with terraces and private pool overlooking the beach and sea. Others have no view Chose the transfer service from airport with private boat. It changes everything! 4 things to improve: 1/ wash the stairs with running water (restaurant/toilet side) 2/ more variety of fruits at breakfast 3/ make sure restaurant breakfast staff don’t put the music at 7am like it would be evening time … 4/ the path to the hotel from the hospital - not at the level of the hotel

Stayed here from July 22 to 25, 2022. We were traveling as a couple with our one year old baby. The service we got from the staff was outstanding, and they really went above and beyond to make sure we had whatever we needed to make our stay and our baby comfortable. Would love to stay here again. Definitely highly recommended. Pros: -Booking the private transfer add-on is one of the best things you can do for your family if you're traveling with kids. You will skip the long/hot walks and the long lines at the jetty port, get a speedboat transfer, and have all the help you need with your luggage. Cost is per head and very reasonable. -Location is ideal if you want to be near enough all the good restaurants, cafes, bars, and stores. -Quality of life conveniences like drinking water provided in the room and could be replenished anytime, beach mats and towels that could be borrowed, etc. -Very thoughtful brand of service. They would provide anything we needed for our baby if they had it, such as a baby bath tub and bug zapper. One of the things we noticed was they had set the TV on default to a kids channel because they knew we were traveling with a baby. -Special mention to our check-in/check-out process & concessions. -Breakfast selection has good variety and tastes good enough. Cons: -The live band can and will be heard from the rooms, even if we requested the furthest room possible. They play well into the night until 11pm or so. I don't know if this would be a bother to young kids, but it was a bother to us more than to our baby. Although this is part and parcel of a lot of major resorts in Boracay. -Some questionable design choices for the room such as tiny trash bins, a room lock that beeps/alarms within just a few seconds of opening the door, and a shower door that leaks into the bathroom floor. -Pool is made with very small tiles and a lot of them have gone missing. Could be a potential cause for cuts/injury when feet have gone wrinkly from swimming. -Suggestion: Add more places where we can hang our wet clothes.
