Detailed Reviews
We had an amazing time at the district! We traveled as a group of 5 rooms... 8 adults and 6 children from Jan 6-9.
Upon arrival at Caticlan we were greeted by a hotel rep and then shuttled off to a private speedboat. This boat was nothing like the catamaran style (motorized bangka) boats I had taken before. It was a lovely pristine 30 ft speedboat that fit all of us plus all our luggage. It only took us 4 minutes to get to the island. DEFINITELY book your transfer through the hotel. Especially the transfer going back to the hotel. Someone literally walks you through all of the check points that you need to go through before getting on the boat.
Once we got to our drop off point in boracay, we were each given an umbrella (even the kids!) for the walk to the lobby. At check-in we were given cool drinks and cool cloths. We were also given vouchers for free rounds of drinks and free massages at the spa!
You cannot beat the location of this hotel. The lobby doors open to the beach. We loved the mats they provided for us to lounge at the beach. When it got too hot, the pool provided a nice place to cool off.
The free massage at the spa was wonderful. Exactly what I needed at the end of my trip. When I told them my concerns about my mom coming up all the steps to the spa for her massage, the receptionist immediately suggested an in room massage for her. PERFECT. It really showed how the staff here went above and beyond.
Breakfast buffet was great. Everything you could want and more. Even my picky kids were happy to devour the pancakes. Rooftop dinner with friends was great. Food came out quickly and ambiance was wonderful.
Our group of kids were loud and feisty... and at all times the staff were patient, kind and fun with them. Always close by to hand us some towels or even an inflatable donut for the pool. The kids had so much fun. Definitely an experience for them.
Thank you The District for being such a stunning and easy place for us to stay in for our trip.

Everything was perfect with their team. From our arrival in Caticlan, their representative is already waiting for us and they introduce themselves very well. They also engage to us and tell us how long is the ride, etc. All of them were very helpful from the van, to the boat staff that are always there to assist us with us luggage and always offer to take us good photos.
We had a deluxe room with 2 queen beds, it is spacious enough to fit us 4. They are also very considerate enough to give us room in the ground floor since my Dad has problems with walking.
This trip is quite special because it is our birthday gift for our Mom, and they made it extra special for her. I went to the frontdesk and I asked if I can pre-order a cake for my mom's birthday on the next day to be served during breakfast, but they happily informed me that I do not need to buy because they serve complimentary cake for birthday celebrants. This is an impressive thing because they can just simply charge me to upsell but they didn't, so thank you from my heart!
They even had the whole team sang for my mom and she is nothing but surprised, including me! Thank you to everyone and we will recommend you for sure!

This was the last stop of our honeymoon and we spent 3 nights in a premier suite, which was a duplex on the top floor. The room has 2 balconies, unfortunately neither gets much sun so not really an option for sunbathing. The interior is great though, with space well used. The air con works very quickly, and maybe a little too well at times!
The hotel reception opens out onto the beach, and they provide towels and mats if you want to sit on the beach. The pool does get the sun in the afternoon and there are about 8 loungers - these were never full when we were there. The pool staff were lovely - they made the effort to chat and always remembered our names making it a very personal service.
The only drawback is that it can be noisy until about half 11 each night with live music from other hotels and bars. Don’t plan any early nights!

The District has the best location on White Beach. The beach out the front is the nicest along the whole island and you are close to the other stations and an array of food options.
The staff are also very helpful and accommodating. Only issue we had is they overcharged us for some drinks, so just check when you’re leaving.

The District is a boutique hotel situated on the beach and it was a perfect location for a wedding in Feb 2020. White sandy beaches and numerous little retail stores all along the beach.
The employees of this hotel were absolutely friendly and very accomodating during the wedding ceremony and after during the wedding dinner.
Lovely location, and lovely people.

Responded 20 Jan 2020
Dear CrisB959, Thanks for sharing your feedback about your visit last year at one of our restaurants. We do not condone rude behavior at The District, however, I believe there was a miscommunication as our staff would never treat guests any less than others. Nevertheless, allow me to apologize if you felt offended in any way, and for any inconvenience this has caused you. The WiFi was very intermittent during your visit (not just at The District, but in the whole island) due to the typhoon that hit Boracay over the holiday season. Thankfully, it has been restored a few days after the New Year, and we have been back to normal operations since then. We also make sure that all our food are of highest standards when served, though I’ve taken note of your concerns about our bacon and French Toasts. Rest assured that all have already been addressed accordingly. The New Year’s Eve dinner was a blast (and packed) - we would have loved for you to try it given the chance. It is unfortunate that your visit didn’t end up on a happy note, but I do hope you’ll consider us again next time you’re in the island. All the best! Sincerely, Naomi Soriano Resident Manager

After 14 days of my stay in this hotel i can say that it was my best choice! Absolutely amazing staffs! Rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable. Even if you are in one of the busy part of the White Beach station 2 you feel very private everywhere ( except the ground floor rooms). House brew cafe is super!! The Food is outstanding. So i dud enjoy my 14 days stay in this hotel. Thanks and will certainly come back soon

We had dinner here with family. I enjoyed the Crispy Pork Sinigang and Lechon kawali. The soup was poured from a tea pot. It was cool! I like how they got creative in serving sinigang. Lechon kawali was still crispy with an option to dip it in mang tomas or soy sauce with calamansi and chili. The service was spot on and quick. We enjoyed the night with great company, ambiance, food and drinks.

Vacationing in this famous island to start the New Year of 2023 was always an annual highlight in my vacation in the Philippines for this Christmas/New Year holidays eversince. Staying in the District this time even made it more memorable for me and for my mom.
I appreciated the staff of this hotel as they upgraded my room from DeLuxe to Premium. My request to have twin beds when I booked this hotel via Agoda was not communicated properly by that site bec they course my booking through a 3rd party. When we arrive and there was no more deLuxe rooms with twin beds that they can give to us, they were able to offer us an upgrade so as not to ruin our vacation. Thank you to the staff for that.
The premium room has a loft where the King-sized bed is placed. The bed was very cozy. There were 2 balconies, one of which fronting the living room was spacious where one can practice yoga and other floor exercises.
You can also do a bit of lap swimming in the resort pool. One thing I also liked staying in the hotel is the live acoustic band playing in the dinner hall on the rooftop of the facade. The breakfast buffet is mixed Asian and Western cuisine. Food is OK but selection becomes dull as the days forward. I stayed for 6D5N here.
Overall, this hotel deserves a second or even 3rd visit in my future vacations in Boracay.

Been going back and forth in the island of boracay this past few weeks and this week i’ve decided to stay in The District Hotel. Due to covid, they offer big discount on their rooms. The breakfast is great with complimentary brewed coffee. Although the resort has little guests, the manager had a pet dog buddy who is very cute and doesn’t bark at all. So in a way you will never feel alone. 😂 And its a good thing that the resort is located next to d’mall where some shops and restaurants are now open. This is a great time to visit if you just wanna relax, and have a peaceful time to feel the ocean without the usual noise and crowd.

Hi! We no longer setup beach beds in front of The District, due to the local government’s easement policy. Hope this helps!
