This is a rural retreat away from the beach (15 minute walk) and the noisy resort. Very friendly and helpful staff who assisted us with sights to see in Sabang and our onward trip. Room was comfortable, food was good and you feel you were in the Palawan countryside (well, actually you are, walking past rice paddies on the path...

We stayed for a few nights, the owner Andre picked us up at the airport of Puerto Princesa (you have to pay 500 Peso/ Person) - it's a 2h drive to Sabang. Andre is really friendly, but after the first day we didn't see him anymore and were not able to ask things because the rest of the staff (family)...

Bambua was a pleasant and alternative stay with a green, fresh hillside appeal to which was far enough away from the town to ensure peace and tranquility though close enough to pop in an experience the activities of the area.

I stayed here for three nights in a single fan room with a shared bathroom (cold water showers and bucket flush toilets with no seats). My room was very clean and had a nice shelf and towel rack. The family who runs the place are really lovely, but they're out a lot, so if you arrive during the day, you...

I stayed here with 3 other friends and, with some fortune, managed to get the family cottage even though we turned up without a booking. We were there for 2 nights in total and had a great stay here thanks to the owners: Andre and Rosa-Lee. On the second day we visited the underground river which was organised almost entirely...

Found this place by chance on the internet, the owner Andre was happy to come to Puerto and pick us up from our hotel. He was very informative on the history of the area and his experiences over the past 30 years living in Palawan. Very neat and tidy little dorms/cottages and friendly staff, and Andre's wife Rosalie is a...

Bambua is located in a beautiful place next to rice plantations, with a view at the mountains. Very close to the port and to local market (20minutes walking). Food is good - fish / meat / rice / fish soup / fruits. Our cottage was nice, next to small lake. Unfortunately there is no hot water in the bathroom and...

In several months of travelling, our stay at Bambua has remained one of our favourite memories. We booked only one night, to see the underground river, but ended up staying 5 nights. The river is interesting, but the highlight of our stay was Bambua itself. One of my favourite days we didn't even leave the grounds, but just drank beers...

Spacious and well decorated cottages situated on a large piece of land surrounded by Jungle, rice fields, mountainous views and ponds. Sabang is a must visit on a trip to Palawan and not just for the day trips but for a few days. Staying here makes you feel part of the family as its a family run business and they...

I appreciated how the place is run and maintained by the owners and their children. I also liked how friendly they are. The location is also great as it is very near the Sabang beach where most activities are. It is also nice how visitors get to feel and be with nature. This place is for those who want a...
