This used to be my go-to motel when journeying to my in-law's house in Ohio. It was about as far as my wife would go in one day. Although not the usual quality of motel we stay at, it was sufficient. Seemed pretty clean, not too run down, but the last two times we stayed here, it was "let go"a bit- towels are not very clean, and very worn, cracked caulking at sinks not fixed, and the faucet in our room was broken. It worked, but required a deft touch to get it to work. My advice is to spend a bit more, and get a nicer room. I do stay in MOTEL 6 quite often, and a lot of them are really nice places to stay, but this property is an exception.
I hate to bag on this place because the hotel staff was very kind and helpful. However, for the purpose of sharing my recent experience, I feel compelled to leave a review. The hotel was very cost effective and for our one night stay it served its purposes. However, the non-smoking rooms smelled strongly of recent smoke (and then fabreeze to cover smoke smell). The hardwood floors look like a good idea, but in reality they are noisy and collect dust/dirt of not regularly cleaned. I missed the part when making my reservation that there is no morning breakfast of any kind. Then lastly, each room had 2 small pillow per bed. No big deal...we had pillows. But I've been spoiled when traveling and having 3-4 pillow per bed. Like I said, the staff was friendly and the price was cheap, but the amenities were minimal at best and the rooms smelled of smoke and were loud.…
I would have given them 5 stRs except we were there 3 night and licked out of our room every single day! I could forgive the first time but the second time? Really? It also says breakfast included and shows a beautiful picture of the breakfast area on the website...their is no. Breakfast! The room was pretty nice...no carpet which I loved! Clean! I wish the website had included thAt there is a microwave and fridge...the tv needed help...it kept turning off...It's also dry close to the railroad track and trains run all hours...over all I would stay here again.
The posting for this motel needs to be updated. States breakfast is provided...it is not and the staff rudely informed me of this fact. Rooms is somewhat clean. Don't look to close at anything. Booked for 2 nights, only staying one and have no clue where we will go, but it won't be here.
We booked this hotel as it was on route to our final accommodation after flying into Cincinnati airport. I booked this motel due to the value. The hotel is by the road so is easy to access, the other pros include - large room, clean and the bathroom was spotless and the shower hot. The cons - noise from the nearby gas station and the hallways and the décor is a bit outdated. I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again though - for what we paid we got a good deal.
This motel has large rooms but has neither restaurant nor breakfast facilities. However there is a pizza place across the road and other eating places nearby. There appeared to be only one person on front of house staff. Some lights were not working. There was an opportunity to grab a cup of coffee at the front for breakfast. The building itself is well-built and the rooms large.
Decided to stop and stay overnight after driving from Mammoth Cave. King room, decent price. Hotel and room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Only complaint was no continental breakfast was available.
Location was good. but that was about it. Room was supposed to be smoke free, was not. The thing that really surprised me was the bed foundation was not covered, and it they were dirty and stained. Sheets were too small for mattresses and on wrong. The phone was so dirty I was afraid to touch it. No one at desk at night and most of the staff spent their time outside smoking.
Booked a room at the Travel Lodge in Florence that claimed to be petfriendly and did not allow my dogs to stay (looked like a dump anyway) so I called this Motel 6 and got a room right away. Nicer than a few motel 6's I've stayed at, but still very basic. Did enjoy a Jacuzzi room, which the Jacuzzi didn't work but still enjoyed a nice big tub while watching TV. Overall nice for price.
Friendly service. After hours of looking for a room we finally found one. Everyplace we stopped at was booked up. It was OK for the price. We had to settle for a smoking room....not what we wanted but in a pinch what are you to do...... ended up it didn't smell that bad.... the only thing was when we went to look out the window someone had left an overrun ashtray with beer caps behind the curtains.... guess the cleaning crew overlooked it. Kind of scary to think someone would have put it there.... Fire Hazard! The sign on the door said Non Smoking. It could have been a little cleaner it wasn't that bad but it could have been a better. It is right next door (walking distance) to Burger King, White Castle & Dominos Pizza. There is also a nice truck stop next door you can get last minute things you may need. Over all it was OK just for a night. Would consider this location again if needed.…
