We really appreciated the location of this hotel with everything within walking distance. We also visited the supermarket next door daily to get snacks and drinks. Breakfast is very Chinese oriented and often does not serve all the options until 7:30. Our room was relatively clean but the daily cleaning was very brief and didn't even change our towels. The...

The condition of the rooms were decent, it is situated close to Barkhor street with many shops nearby too. While the toilet did work most of the time, it could really use with some more water to flush more properly each time. Other than the lobby of the hotel, there's hardly anything Tibetan about this hotel. It felt quite Chinese....

The Saikang Hotel is a nice hotel in a central location on the main road roughly between the Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple. It's a nice 3/4-star facility that caters mainly to Chinese visitors, with a staff that speaks limited English. We were among the few Westerners there and there was no Western food served in the dining room....

The hotel is conveniently located just steps away from the palace. The room was clean and comfortable. However, the window of the room is facing a blank wall of the next building within 1m. I guess i can touch the wall if i open the window!

We were looking for a clean hotel within walking distance to key cultural sights (Potala Palace, etc...). This hotel did not disappoint! We thoroughly enjoyed the view of the Potala Palace from the 6th Floor Restaurant. Although the feed was just "ok" the view and the attentiveness of the staff more than made-up for it!
