Our stay at HOS was very pleasant indeed, the staff are extremely friendly, speak a decent amount of English and are able to accommodate to most needs. The hotel itself was clean, and provided all the essentials, including a good Wi-Fi connection. Although breakfast was slightly short on choice, there was the option of a fry up every morning, muesli,...

It is good to try this restaurant because in unique interior in Tibetan style. The menu is very interesting and in English. Food is very good but not the best in Lhasa. We order chicken masala and chicken tikka and the chicken was a bit hard but we ate everything with great Roti and naan bread. We recommend to try...

The House of Shambhala is tucked inside the old city of Lhasa and is just a short walk from the Barkhor. Cars are not allowed on the narrow streets of this part of the city so staff met us curb side on Beijing Rd. to assist with luggage. We entered the serene courtyard through an entrance lined with prayer wheels....

Be prepared to become entranced the minute you enter the courtyard passed the prayer wheels facing the altar. The staff, the rooms and the food are all excellent. The central location of the hotel is second to none.

The small restaurant is in a quite lane between Beijing Rd and Jokhang Palace. Very clean, nice furnishings and design, very interesting menu with the dishes divided into the elements. Well presented Tibetan Food. Worth the effort to find.

We ended up staying here over 2weeks as my travelling companion got sick early on in our trip and we had to head back to lhasa. This place became like our 2nd home. They were so helpful, right from the beginning, and then when my friend got sick, they couldnt do enough to help us, even when we arrived back...

The staff go beyond the call of duty, thanks Nowang. The rooms a truly Tibetan , close to the Jokhang Temple, serving wonderful food and a great wine list. The roof garden early evening is the place to be with a view of the mountains and a nice cup of green tea.

And their restaurant is amazing!! The most extensive menu of delicious food. I just loved their rooms-- very authentic Tibetan which is unusual.. most of the hotels have gone (poor man version of )western and are just not an "experience". This hotel is what I consider a boutique hotel . Very few rooms, attentive service. Great location to walk around...

Stayed here for about 3 nights, and grew to enjoy it more and more. Location is great! It's near Jokhang Temple, and walking distance from a variety of good street food, markets as well as restaurants to try if you miss city life. Generally safe, albeit dark at night. Amenities provided were good - clean and fresh towels, toothbrush sets,...

We had dinner there. They allowed us to bring our own wine and brought us proper wine glasses. They have the most extensive menu, with a wide variety of food and with interesting Tibetan quotes and sayings on the menu.
