The location and price cannot be beat. Located just minutes from the Star Ferry piers in Kwaloon this hotel is in my opinion one of the best bargains in the world. Considering that most hotels in the city are very expensive this hotel offers you a very clean hotel, a bit busy , but at a price that can't be...

Sleep at the Y and hold your head high?!?!?! In its price range and for its class of room and services, it would be difficult for any other hotel in HK to top The Salisbury. But . . . when you further consider its prime location at the harbour's edge near the Star Ferry's TST pier, The Salisbury cannot be...

We stayed in room 883 which is in the north wing of the building. Normally we stay in really cheap accommodation when we travel but decided to go mid-range this time and were not disappointed. The bed was the best I have ever slept in - it was huge, incredibly soft and the sheets were divine! It was nice and...

This was my second stay at the Salisbury, and I was pleased to see the standard was still very high. During my last stay there were renovations happening, these had now been completed so access to the lobby was much simpler. Hotel staff were very friendly and check in was a breeze. The rest of my group were thrilled to...

Our room had harbour views and we enjoyed the Harbour light show with accompanying music from the radio using instructions printed in the room. A welcome bowl of fruit, range of toiletries including toothbrush and comb was unusual in these days of scaled down service. Restaurant Dining Room and the downstairs cafe serve good food but pricing is high compared...

After an unpleasant stay in the Chungking Mansions I decided to spend my last three days in Hong Kong, in the YMCA, based on the reconciliations of fellow travelers. Despite the fact I was paying a little more than my budget would allow, I can safely say that I was 100% pleased with my decision. The room was clean and...

I like this hotel. Clean and comfort. The breakfast was average. In a good location, just 5 step from the front door to the lift that take you to subway station. And 10-15 minutes walk to the harbor which had a laser show at night around 8. It made my trip easy. The concierge was kind and helpful. There is...

Having stayed at a few hotels in HK from 3.5 to 5 stars, this hotel is top of my list. It's next door to the Peninsula and about a third of the price. The location is perfect for both first time and seasoned HK travellers. We booked a Harbour view room and arrived late at night to a great room...

1 block from metro. Walking to night markets. Very nice room and great service. I was suprised at how nice and spacious the rooms were for the price. It was a few stops away from Hong Kong island but still very good kowloon location!

We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. As many have mentioned before the rooms are a bit dated, however the size of the rooms for a family of 4 people was fantastic. We had a family suite on the 14th floor, we could watch the symphony of lights from our room. The staff were very helpful at the restaurant...
